Warto zboczyć z głównej drogi z Rethymno na południowe brzegi Krety (np. Agia Galini, Gortyna) aby w środku zacisznej kreteńskiej wsi, zaznać lokalnej kuchni i zjeść obiad na tarasie z pięknym widokiem na otaczającą dolinę i 4 kotami u stóp. Choć droga dojazdowa dość wąska, to ruch jest znikomy, a przy tawernie na głównym placu wsi, na pewno znajdzie się miejsce do zaparkowania samochodu. Gościnny i bardzo sympatyczny właściciel. Załapaliśmy się na pyszny deser - wiśnie w syropie podany z jogurtem greckim - wyrób mamy właściciela.

Die typische Taverne hat eine überdachte Terrasse mit einem schönen Blick ins Tal. Dort sitzt man windgeschützt und kann den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Wir waren in unserer Urlaubswoche gleich dreimal dort essen, weil es uns so gut gefallen und geschmeckt hat. Die „junge Ziege“ hat uns geschmacklich umgehauen. Auch die Vorspeisen waren alle super, besonders die gefüllte Paprika und die frittierten Pilze. Die Besitzer (Eltern und Sohn) sind sehr nett und außerordentlich gastfreundlich. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch im nächsten Urlaub.

Local tavern in small village with beatiful view.
Quite comprehensive menu (also vege seafood), but with individual food elements not complete dishes so if you don't learn this with advance you van receive eg. plain meat - staff doesn't inform with such details.

Wer griechische Gastfreundschaft abseits des Tourismus und das Flair einer Taverne in einem Bergdorf erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig - Super lecker und authentisch! Schöner Blick in die Berge und äußerst gastfreundlich. Eigentlich genau das, was man sich in einem. Bergdorf wünscht. Kartenzahlung akzeptiert. Der Chefkoch spricht nur griechisch, die jüngere Generation spricht jedoch gut englisch.

All Crete at one place! Hidden just few km from main road, you will find a really Cretan taverna. Service is so great, as well as a view from terrace, food is so delicious, portions are big and tasty. We ordered tzatziki, cheese pie, octopus and goat in tomato sauce, everything was outstanding, also wine of house is really good! All recommendations for this place, must have lunch/dinner. Complimentary was cold water, raki and ice cream!

Comment dire , tout est parfait , accueil, vue, et la cuisine est une tuerie , le patron nous a offert le raki, le pain ,l’eau et le dessert,le détour en vaut la chandelle , je recommande largement cet établissement

An authentic cretan experience!!
Hronis (Agamemnon's son) is caring on the family name with honors!!
The spot is amazing and the food is what the have cooked from their own products.Today we had goat with potatoes and ratatouille with vegetables from their own garden!
For the one that seeks authentic food this is the place!!!

Μια απλή ταβέρνα σε ένα ήσυχο σημείο με σχετική δροσιά. Το φαγητό δεν εντυπωσιάζει οπότε δεν δικαιολογούνται και οι ψηλές τιμές σε συνδυασμό με την ποσότητα των μερίδων.

So grateful to have found this lovely place on my way home from an amazing day at Apolystra.

It’s in a beautiful natural setting with countryside mountain vista.
I felt so lucky to be there in this authentic family taverna. The owner Agamemnon and his son Chronos were so kind and welcoming. Not only did I enjoy a delicious meal of goat, potatoes and wine….but also had wonderful conversation about the history and beauty of Crete.

They gave me delicious local sheep yogurt with wild cherry sauce his mom made for dessert :)

I wish you’re family all the best and I recommend this place for a peaceful meal in the hills.

Gemütliche und familiäre Atmosphäre mit authentischer kretischer Küche nach Hausmannskost-Art im Gastraum oder auf dem Balkon. -
Agamemnon und Urania und der Sohn Chronis sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber, großzügig und um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht. -
Wasser und Raki werden zur Begrüßung gratis auf den Tisch gestellt. -
Die Auswahl an Vorspeisen ist saisonal, aber immer groß. -
Ziege, Lamm oder andere Fleischgerichte sind immer sehr schmackhaft. -
Zum Trinken dazu gibt's Weine, Biere aus der Flasche, Limonaden, Säfte. -
Die Preise sind angemessen und für Mitteleuropäer eher günstig. -
Der Nachtisch geht auf Kosten des Hauses und hängt natürlich vom Angebot der Jahreszeit ab. -
Die Toiletten und Waschräume wirken gepflegt und sauber. -
Parkplätze an der Straße.

Absoluter Geheimtipp ???? wir kommen bereits seit 4 Jahren immer wieder in diese wunderschöne Taverne. Das Essen ist wirklich fantastisch und wir lassen uns jedes Mal aufs Neue mit traditionellen kretischen Gerichten verwöhnen.Familiengeführt und sehr herzlicher Service.

Absoluter Geheimtipp, gekommen durch eine Empfehlung unseres Reiseführer-Buchs. Lohnt sich definitiv, leckere Speisen und familiäre sowie offene Gastfreundschaft, wie man es so oft von Griechenland hört. Das wird hier definitiv groß geschrieben. Die nette Gastfamilie war super freundlich und herzlich, wir wurden mit offenen Armen empfangen. Top!

Geheimtipp in den Bergen. Eine kleine, noch sehr ursprüngliche Taverne mit schönem Blick. Auch an heißen Tagen sitzt man hier angenehm. Sehr freundlicher Service und sehr gute, ursprüngliche Küche mit lokalen Produkten
