Nous avions réservé deux expériences avec EcoEvents et nous n’avons pas été déçus !
D’abord, la plongée pour laquelle nous avons été accompagné par Jean qui parle français. Ceci a été un vrai plus pour notre baptême. Jean a su être rassurant et l’endroit choisi était superbe.
Nous avions également réservé une excursion avec Nora, une guide française. Sa bonne humeur et son expérience nous ont permit de passer une super journée avec elle. Nora dispose de riches connaissances sur la Crète, son histoire, sa culture, la vie de ses habitants. On ne s’ennuie pas une minute ! Elle est attentive à nos besoins et accorde du temps à chaque chose ce qui rend l’expérience très agréable.
Nous ferions confiance à nouveau à EcoEvents si nous devions revenir en Crète.

Myself and my 2 boys (aged 11 and 8) had the most amazing walking and gastronomy tour during our recent visit to Rethymno. Our guide was Michael (Michalis) and he was so interesting and knowledgeable - we learnt so much about the history of Crete, Rethymno and Cretan culture and I couldn't recommend this highly enough. It was apparent that Michael was not just reeling off a standard "script" as you often get with tours as he was able to respond to my children's many random questions (such as what is your favourite Crete myth, quickly followed by do you prefer to bite or lick your ice cream!!) and noticed how much we all enjoyed Greek myths and was able to chat to us about those too. He was great and patient with my children and engaged them for the full 4 hours which is quite some achievement!
Despite the hot weather, we all thoroughly enjoyed to walk around the town and the food was amazing! My son was so excited to have correctly guessed the mystery flavour in the olive oil we had to go back and buy a bottle to take home for our family!

I did the Rethymno Walking & Gastronomy Tour and the Wine and Olive oil Tasting with lunch. Both the tours were exceptional, and unlike the other tours on offer within Rethymno, ECOevents is personable. Nora was our guide for the walking tour, she made us feel very welcome, and through food and history, Nora helped bring the city to life. We left with a full stomach and a great appreciation of the town. Michalis took us on the Wine and Olive Oil Tasting. He provided us with a real insight into the Cretian way of life. It was fascinating to see the olive oil process and to get off the beaten track for lunch within the hills and views of the mountains. I would highly recommend it!

Took part in the 'Walking & Gastronomy Tour' and what a great event. Sometimes food tours can be a little repetitive but this tour was none of that!
Nora, our fantastic guide took us on a journey through history to help us understand Cretan culture, architecture and food. From a leisurely coffee and Sfakia pie with the locals, followed by a tour of the Old Town, with plenty of shady stops to talk about the great food and history of Rethymno.
You finish with a fanstatic lunch, taking in all those flavours brought by Cretan, Venetian, Ottoman and Greek history.
