A true basterd in every way! Keep away from this man and all his buissines!
we had an accident with the rented car, it was on the mainstreet about 100 meters from te rentoffice.
I drove slowly frome the right way and while crossing the main street i got in an collision with another car. The owner of the rentalbussines Mr. Papadogiannakis was nereby and the first words out of his mouth were "you will have to pay this damage, it is not insured!" Instead of saying "are you oké?" That was the first sign that i knew this is not a plesseant man. The man in the other car appeared te be a friend of Mr. Papadogiannakis, and one of the local farmasists.
After a while a Policeman came and started to write down what happend. This rapport was not signed by me but by Mr. Papadogiannakis and he took the form away. I don't know what it said, was i guilty of the accident or the other gentleman? At that moment i was told that an insurrence man would come to determine who was at fould.

Now the fun begins, Mr. Papadogiannakis told us (with a smile) to follow him to his office and we would talk there.
He told us he wanted 300,- because the accident was my fould. We did not hear this from the policeofficer and the insurrenseman did not arrive yet. We told him this and then he got mad, very fast!
"You must pay now!" followed by more collorful words.
We told him we would pay if we have the conclussion of de fould question. If we were wrong we would pay, if we are not then we did not have to. We wanted to be sure.
After the yelling stopt we told him we would be back the next day after we talked to our insurrence, they would help us in this situation. He was very annoyed but we could go.

The next morning we went by his office and told him that the insurrence told us, that first there must be a ruling on the quiltquesttion. If the Police or insurrence determent we were wrong then ofcourse we would pay. More than fair we thought.
He went crazy! Some of the things he said:
"I will make sure you don't fly home!"
"I will make you pay all the damage to both cars"
"You dont have insurrence on the rented car"
"If you dont pay i will get it from the people from the appartement you are staying, they will pay for you!"
"You dont leave Crete!"
All of this and much more screaming at me and my wife..

Because we still had 1.5 week vacation and we saw him every day, we decided to pay the 300,- en leave it at that..

the story is longer and even more bizar, bat i will leave it at this.
i hope you have an impression of the way this bussines is run.
please stay away from it and have a nice vacation in Paleochora!

We rented a car for a day, one day in advance, no problem at all, for 45eur a day... Also booked trip for samaria gorge (bus/ferry), everything on time and correct, we were very satisfied and can recommend

Schnelle und unkomplizierte Autovermietung.

Haben am Vorabend für den nächsten Tag 2 PKWs gemietet. (Inkl. Zweier Kindersitze)
Um 8 Uhr Morgens dann abgeholt. Alles war vorbereitet und die Sitze für die Kinder wurden soeben eingebaut. Auch ein Tausch auf einen größeren Kindersitz war kein Problem.
Ich werde wieder ein Auto hier mieten wenn ich in Paleochora bin und eines benötige.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dieser Autovermietung. Haben unkompliziert und direkt Vorort ein Auto unserer Wahl für unseren gewünschten Zeitraum bekommen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war ebenfalls gut. Auch die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Versleten banden op de wagen.... Daardoor een klapband gekregen en de kosten zelf moeten betalen, dit is diefstal
