Fabulous family run taverna. Live music 2 nights in the summer. Right next to the beach. Lovely home cooked food. You won't be disappointed.

Went to this place for a lovely meal for our anniversary. Staff made you feel welcome. We had a lovely table over looking the sea. Though, it was getting dark lol. However, listening to the sound of waves was relaxing. We had one of our favourite meals Pastitsio. All in all, very nice place to visit at a reasonable price.

Wir waren heute Abend die ersten im Restaurant, bekamen aufgewärmte Pommes und gegrilltes Gemüse, welches im Öl schwamm . Der Fleischspieß war frittiert und nicht gegrillt. Der Hauswein schmeckt absolut nicht. Der Fisch war aber frisch und Lecker.

Τα φαγητα ηταν ολα πολυ νοστιμα. Δοκιμασαμε την αβοκαντο σαλατα, που ηταν πολυ ωραια και δροσερη. Επισης τα ψητα λαχανικα και οι τυροκεφτεδες μας αρεσαν πολυ. Τα μακαρονια καρμποναρα με γραβιερα ειναι επισης πολυ νοστιμα. Μειναμε πολυ ευχαιριστημενοι. Αξίζει μια επίσκεψη.

Eine wirklich gute Taverne mit respektvollen Personal und guten Speisen. Bereits beim Eintreten wird man freundlich begrüßt und kann sich dann seinen Platz aussuchen, natürlich ohne reservierte Tische.
Besonders gut hat mir der griechische Rose‘ gefallen, wirklich ein sehr guter Wein.

Posto abbastanza turistico : porzioni decisamente abbondanti ma qualità del cibo perfettibile in confronto a tutte le altre esperienze della vacanza nell'isola, che fossero taverne o ristoranti. servizio abbastanza lento.

Die Familientaverne ist ein super Ort um den Urlaub ausklingen zu lassen. Service war super freundlich und sehr den Abend super abgerundet. Essen ist der Hammer, Fisch war direkt aus Souda, der super Wein vom Nachbarn und dazu noch eine wunderschöne Aussicht! Kann es jedem empfehlen der in Kalyves vorbeischaut

Die Zucchinibällchen waren sehr gut.

Das große gezapfte Bier für 4,50 € ist voll im Rahmen. Denn es gab wunderbare griechische Live-Musik.

Allerdings war nachdem Getränke und Essen serviert worden sind, von dem ursprünglich netten und flotten Service gar nichts mehr zu sehen. Deshalb ein Stern Abzug.

Ein tolles Restaurant mit gutem Essen, toller Lage und viel zum erkunden für die Kids. Fragt nach frischem Fisch vom Tag!! Der Preis stimmt und es ist super im cleanen Geschmack.
Toller freundlicher Service und sauberes drumrum. Ein äußerst leckeres Bier ist auch zu bekommen.

Friendly family run restaurant by the beach in Kalyves. If you want delicious dinner try Akrogialis seabream, cooked on the grill with olive oil,thyme and lemon served with small salad, rice & chips. My husband had the very tasty fishermans pasta with starter cooked tomato, feta and pepper which was really nice. All with good wine and beer. There's a cute garden for kids with a swing and toys.

Can’t recommend this place. Charged 3.90€ for sliced (processed?) bread that was put on our table that we didn’t order nor eat. All dishes too salty, toilets were disgusting with bins overflowing. Felt like a tourist trap, staff indifferent… 1 adult & 2 kids - 2 pasta dishes & meatballs Cretan dish, glass of mediocre white wine, 2 soft drinks, bottle of water 50€. Big place, very touristy :-(

Family Tavern overlooking Kalyves beach, we ordered appetizer and mixed seafood platter for two. Fresh and in quantity, we struggled to finish it. Spent about 25 euros each. Very satisfied.
