This place is simply spectacular! The view alone is worth the price of admission. The staff are oh so friendly, outgoing and helpful. Incredible spa with a special ending you won't soon forget! The multiple hot springs, the cold spring, and the pool are all beautiful and backed by a top-notch bar for a frozen beverage and a snack. The farm was a huge hit with the kids. From collecting eggs in the morning and riding a horse to petting ponies and pigs. This is a gem I hope to return to one day.

Hidden gem in the middle of Arenal area. Private, clean and well kept cabins on a property with hot springs, farm animals and hot springs located in the heart of Arenal area. Close to all attractions. Highly recommend especially if you are traveling with family.

As family of six with four boys (7, 6, 4, 2) Hotel Silencio was magical. After an early wake up each morning, we would help milk the cow at the barn, then enjoy an incredible breakfast (included in the stay) before returning to the barn to collect fresh eggs. The staff at the barn (Luis and Alejandro) were so friendly, available to help, and patient with our boys. After collecting eggs, two horses were available to ride up and down the property. So by 10:00 am, we had already had an incredible day/experience. After a walk through the perfectly groomed garden and through already connecting with the concierge staff, we had a days' activities already dialed in. A taxi was always available and ready and the activities available in La Fortuna were fantastic. We were greeted upon our return with a smile, and the staff at the front desk (Lionel and Elimore) went out of their way to answer questions and get us dialed in. Our cabin was delightful and just a 25 yard walk to the amazing hot spring pools which our boys couldn't get enough of! Marcos, Meg, and Juan Carlos down at the pool area were friendly, available when needed, and even made dinner at the pool, feel like a restaurant experience. This was our first week of four in Costa Rica, and after our experience at Hotel Silencio, we legitimately couldn't have gone home happy and appreciative of the hospitality and experience we had here. Thank you! Our boys referenced Hotel Silencio numerous times on our trip after leaving, wanting to return.

This place is a gem! Beautiful grounds, lots of animals and birds, the cute chubby pig roams around during the day. They have a farm and a vegetable garden (=fresh eggs and produce). Having hot springs on the grounds is amazing after a day of hiking! There is also a spa, a bar, a restaurant and a playground for small kids.
The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We’re grateful to the reception staff for their recommendations and help, and the restaurant staff for accommodating my gluten intolerance at each meal. And the breakfast (that’s included) is amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for doing a variety of activities. The grounds were immaculately kept and the multiple thermal pools were a delightful place to relax with a nice drink in hand after a busy day of sightseeing. The cabins were clean and comfortable. There was a hot breakfast every morning with multiple egg dishes, waffles or pancakes, freshly cut fruits and strawberry smoothie along with coffee and juice. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed the little farm across the street and listening to the peacock carry on in the evenings. We enjoyed seeing some of the native wildlife right from our own little cabin front porch. This was a wonderful find and was really a great value for the cost.

The experience and location of the hotel was wonderful. When we arrived and checked in, even late at night, they brought us smoothies and the staff was very friendly. Any time we needed them, the front desk was exceptionally helpful. Our rooms were comfortable and the grounds were absolutely lovely. We visited the hot springs on site multiple times and had a great time visiting their farm, where we saw exotic birds as well as several farm animals. The breakfast every morning had quick service and was delicious. Above all, the hotel’s location was fantastic. We were very conveniently located for all the attractions we wanted to see and got to see native wildlife (like sloths and toucans) at the resort. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely, clean rooms, beautiful flowers and plants, hot springs, pool, jacuzzi on site. Staff were helpful and accomodating. Farm on site. Restaurant was pretty good. Good view of Arenal in those brief moments when the clouds clear.

The hotel “El Silencio del Campo” is a very beautiful and well-kept three-star hotel consisting of various spacious and well-equipped bungalows, which are set in a beautiful garden with sufficient spacing between each other. The place is quiet and relaxing. We particularly liked the thermal springs/baths in the back of the hotel complex, as well as the nice smaller farm with all kinds of animals and the vegetable and herb garden further away. For everyone, but especially for families and children, it is a nice place to stay for 2 to 3 nights in transit. The staff was friendly and helpful. The other services largely correspond to the usual standards of tourist hotels in the country. We have no reason to complain and are happy to award five stars.

I would give 10 stars if I could! Everything the other reviews say is true -- it's a beautiful place. Food is also excellent.

I'd add that the staff are also incredible -- they are super friendly, caring and work very hard. Examples: (1) I left my water bottle on a tour bus and thought it was gone for good. The next day reception called the tour company and was able to get the tour company to bring it back -- I was so impressed! (2) I told another member of staff that I loved the little gray pig that wanders the grounds, and they made a delightful little latte art of the pig.

The rooms were beautiful and the scenery was just spectacular! The best part was the hot springs though! Absolutely stunning and so relaxing! Breakfast was average and costed extra, but the service was great. They immediately provided welcome drinks upon arrival and gave detailed explanations when we had questions. Only problem was that our room had an odor to it. It faintly smelled like wet dog or something that had spoiled. Otherwise it was a must visit place.

We stayed with two younger children and they love exploring the grounds, the pool, the onsite farm, and the Hot Springs. the Hot Springs on the warmer side for children. Breakfast was great every morning, restaurant food was good. centrally located hotel. very much appreciated a smaller, less crowded unique experience compared with some of the bigger, hotels nearby.

This was our second stay here and loved every minute of it. The grounds are beautiful and it is in an excellent location. Great view of volcano. Everywhere you look you see beautiful flowers, plants, birds. The rooms are immaculate and quiet. Hot springs are so pretty and relaxing. Nice to have bar and food right there at the springs. A highlight was a tour of the farm. We had 5 adults in our group and Alejandro showed us all the plants they grow and even gave us some green onions and herbs to try. All the staff were friendly and the food at restaurant is great. Can’t wait to return. Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in La Fortuna!

Excellent stay. Extremely clean. Hot spring pools magnificent. Concierge was kind and very helpful-above and beyond expectation. Property is beautiful. Loved the mini farm. It’s nice to have house keeping services daily again as it seems to have stopped in the states. Many thanks!
