My first trip to Costa Rica. Booked a relatively busy itinerary with Explornatura. We had to make few changes before flying, Laura was extremely helpful, promptly answering our messages and looking after making all the changes. What really distinguished Explornatura is the assistance they provided while travelling in Costa Rica. Massi went beyond the call of his duties to assist when I wanted to make changes. He was very patient and accommodating, saved me few times from bad spots. I am extremely happy that I booked with them and really encourage any one looking to visit Costa Rica, to use them.

Super experiencia. Pablo, el guía, consiguió que el kayak de salvamento no tuviera que intervenir, manteniéndonos dentro del bote en todo momento, incluso cuando nos atascamos en un roca en mitad de los rápidos.
Nos divertimos mucho y lo disfrutamos. Repetiría sin duda

Had a terrible trip a few years back. Started off okay but I must’ve done something to upset the guide (really not sure what, wasn’t complaining or anything, maybe because it was my first time rafting and I was a bit clumsy?) and he was being incredibly rude. At some point I had a cramp in my leg and a woman from the group pointed it out to the guide who said in Spanish “If that jackass would do what I told him to do he wouldn’t”, apparently oblivious to the fact that I speak Spanish. And that’s just a minor example. Terrible experience, probably worst I ever had on a vacation. Glad if other people had a great time but if you’re booking, make sure not to upset the guide.

Our guide, Roberto, made the trip educational and exciting. We had a ton of fun and quickly developed commaraderie with a boat full of strangers. With all of his humor and charisma, he understood his most important job was to keep us safe.

I would highly recommend this excursion and be sure to request Rob as your guide.

Experiencia estupenda, hemos hecho rafting por primera vez y ha sido una experiencia increíble. Nuestros guías, Manuel y Eduardo súper atentos y muy agradables. La comida que entraba en el pack genial también, no nos ha podido gustar más ¡muchas gracias!
