Buen hostal

Ambiance de l'hôtel top. Resto-bar minimaliste qui fait très bien l'affaire.

Les chambres sont très mal isolées et près de la route. Sensation que les voitures roulent au plafond... Impossible de fermer l'oeil, bercé par le bruit des voitures et des klaxons toute la nuit.

Es como tener un ambiente de playa y vacaciones en el puro centro de Chepe!!
La verdad los precios por noche son los más accesibles que he visto por esta zona!
Como chica me sentí segura por que hay habitaciones tanto solo para chicas como para chicos!
Aparte tienen un resta y un bar adentro en caso de que usted no quiera salir y quiers chillear ahí! Y si no, también tienen una cocina compartida para mandarse a cocinar ????????✨

The 6 bed dorm should be a 4 bed dorm. How the beds are on each wall, you cannot fit through the tiny gap with your backpack. I imagine bigger people would struggle to squeeze through as well. Bed itself was comfy and came with curtains, a light, and a plug. Lockers under the beds can fit your whole big backpack or suitcase, but otherwise not enough floor space. Could also use with a place to dry clothes, especially in rainy season when your clothes get wet or on sunnier days if people use the pool.

The location was fine for museums and ATM. About a 20 minute walk to the starting point of the free walking tour. Uber is cheap and easy at all hours (even before 5am for an early bus to Tortuguero), but sit in the front seat to avoid trouble with police.

The kitchen was well-equipped, just be careful with the hanging pots and pans. I hit my head a few times on them and once so hard after standing up to get a plate from below that 2 of them got knocked off their hooks and my head was bruised and painful for almost a week. You have to walk outside for the kitchen and common spaces, so bring an umbrella and/or rain jacket in the rain. Also be careful of cats trying to steal your food in common spaces, especially if you have allergies.

It seemed the nicer upstairs shower near my dorm only had cold water, but the downstairs smaller one had hot water. Not sure if that's normal or just the day I was there.
