We loved our two nights at EcoStay! It's in a great, safe neighborhood of San Jose with a ton of good restaurant options. About a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was our favorite we had during our time in Costa Rica. We stayed in an 8-bed dorm. Each bed had outlets, a lamp, and curtains, and we had 2 full bathrooms to share between the 8 of us. The patio of the hostel was a great area to hang out, and they had games in the common area. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked great. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Eco Stay Lodge for one night. We had such a great experience. David and Marta are fabulous hosts. Friendly and kind. The hotel is SUPER clean and tidy. The beds are cozy. Breakfast was incredible. Eggs, bananas, pinas, watermelon, coffee and tea. Such a quiet and cozy atmosphere. We felt like we were at home. Highly recommend! We will stay here again when in San Jose. All the best! Loved our stay, Zuzana and Mahsa.

Great little place. Quiet and clean. We stayed at Selina prior but we prefer this a lot better. Great breakfast and location. Walking distance to the restaurant centre and gym.
