HÔTEL MONOPOL ^{* * *}

Ein wirklich interessantes Hotel, je nachdem was man erwartet und was man sich wünscht...die Auswahl ist hier unten am Puerto ja riesig und da dürfte ja für jeden etwas passendes dabei sein...hier ist die Lage natürlich Klasse wenn man sich Zentrumsnähe wünscht, allerdings auch entsprechend laut geht es hier zu....wer nach Ruhe sucht geht lieber woanders hin (zum Beispiel vielleicht zu uns auf die Finca auf La Palma '-)
Ein echt historisches Hotel, ich mag so etwas gerne (viel lieber als hyper modern oder so).
Das Personal finde ich durchweg super nett und sehr hilfsbereit, Glückwunsch dazu!
Den Pool finde ich Klasse und den Whirlpool ebenfalls, habe ich beides gerne genutzt!
Eines der Highlights dieses Hotels ist mit Sicherheit das Atrium und die Dachterrasse mit dem tollen Blick auf den Teide oder das Meer ????????????
Ich komme gerne bei passender Gelegenheit wieder und wünsche den Besitzern weiterhin viel Glück (sie sind ja auf der Zielgeraden zum hundertsten Jubiläum!!!).

Hôtel très bien situé mais très difficile à trouver une place si vous êtes véhiculé.

Façade sublime et un patio qui vaut le détour.

Les chambres font très viellot et méritent d’être rafraîchies et d’être isolées.
Wi-Fi indisponible, je ne sais pas s’il faut payer.

Petit-déjeuner basique et choix minimes. Ils doivent revoir la carte.

Je ne recommande pas forcément vu le prix, mais je comprends qu’on puisse apprécié le style et l’institution.

What once could have been a local stylish and culturally relevant building, is now an old decadent building that has clearly missed some renovation works over the years.

The building exterior and its patio still have a beautiful and fascinating structure/style, that could be improved with small details like lighting (especially in the patio, white lights could be replaced with warmer lights).

The main problems come within the room. Old, dusty, and a bit depressing. 70s small rooms with overused old bed covers, at this point, disused in most world hotels as usually dirty or not easy to clean. Small bathroom, easily flooded every time you shower. And at least in our room, no connection and no wifi.

Wi-Fi is another big bad point. Even though we didn't have any sort of Wi-Fi signal in our room or many other places around the hotel, apparently you have 30 minutes of free in-room and hotel Wi-Fi and then you have to pay for the rest of the day. If paying for Wi-Fi isn't already absurd in 2024, the biggest issue was that the connection was about 3 Mbps slow, which isn't even enough to get you connected on WhatsApp. Hence, you are paying for something that won't even be useful.

Breakfast. Let's keep this simple, shall we? Everything that wasn't directly from Mother Nature, like fruits, wasn't good. Low selection and low quality.

Room service is available. We never used it as prices were 4*star hotel expensive, and this hotel couldn't definitely afford them.

Staff politeness. Let's say that we weren't necessarily fascinated by their kindness, but we didn't have any issue. Overall okay. You can feel they are just doing their jobs, nothing more.

Pros:
- Good central location
- Good rooftop terrace/solarium overseeing a nice square and church
- Nice swimming pool

Cons:
- Not great balance cost/quality
- Small old room
- Small easily flooded bathroom
- Scarce Wi-Fi connection.
- Super slow Wi-Fi at a cost €
- Low selection/low-quality breakfast
- Expensive room service.
- No plugs around the whole hotel to facilitate smart working
- Online photos depicted a much nicer place and are a bit misleading.

Find another solution! With the same prices, much better places can be found around.
