Best place to stay in Diafani. Comfortable rooms and sociable breakfasts. Best is the warmly hospitable family owners. A great base to explore the Natura 2000 biosphere reserve. The owners also have a boat and can organise trips to neighbouring Saria island and remote beaches.

Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Petit déjeuner très généreux.

A friendly and convenient place to stay in Diafani. Room was clean and spacious, included breakfast was filling, hospitality if the owning family was warm.

Booked at this hotel due to location as we wanted to visit Saria island and Olympos. Stayed for 3 nights. They picked us from the airport at a price. Thank God for that as we arrived late and the roads of Karpathos are a little scary at night!

Nice family business, and well located starting point for beautiful hikes.

We had a friendly, bright, airy corner room (No.6), small but adequate. Small, really cold fridge. At our request we were given an electric kettle. Very small bathroom, but good and hot shower.
Everything super clean, daily cleaning. Linen and towels are changed every few days - very nice in the heat.
Large corner balcony, so we could almost always sit in the shade. Nice view over the small village of Diafani towards the sea and the mountains — and the sunrise!
The breakfast (buffet, included in the room rate) was ok.

If you need something special: it's best to just ask for it! The kind hosts Maria and Manolis always try to help, and they have good tips.
Quiet outside, as there is little traffic. Everything in tiny Diafani - beach, tavernas, ferryboats, minimarket - can be reached easily on foot.

Inconveniences: Depending on how much luggage you have, you might find the storage options a bit limited — our room didn't have a closet because it was too small. The house is poorly soundproofed, so sometimes you hear the other cohabitants of the hotel.

All in all: good price-performance ratio. We definitely would like to come back again.

Während meiner Wandertour auf Karpathos habe ich 4 Nächte in Nikos Hotel verbracht. Unterm Strich war es der beste Aufenthalt während der zweiwöchigen Tour. Das Zimmer war geräumig und hatte einen schönen großen Balkon mit Aussicht auf den Ort. Das beste aber ist die familiäre Atmosphäre. Maria, die gute Seele des Hauses, ist super nett und hilfsbereit, wenn es z.B. um Wandertipps oder Bootsausflüge geht. Sie gibt Ratschläge für die An- und Abreise und kennt die Fahrpläne der Busse und der Boote. Der Frühstücksraum ist das Herz des Hauses und bietet den Gästen Gelegenheit, sich untereinander kennenzulernen und auszutauschen. Komme gerne und bestimmt wieder.
