This hotel was quite disappointing in the sense that the rooms were not up to the mark we were looking at or the pictures that were shown online. The balcony views are great but the room itself has a tiny window and feels very dingy. The bathrooms are even worse with no ventilation and therefore there is a lingering damp smell at all times (no thank you). Additionally, the bedding didn't feel crisp and clean which is a big downfall for us. The breakfast was good and the views at breakfast were nice. The staff are moderately helpful but not really - you get the vibe that they don't really care. The location of the hotel is great in Fira itself but if you are looking for a room to relax and take in the views from, then this hotel will disappoint you as much as it disappointed us! Unfortunately I do not have pictures of the room itself but I do have some pictures of the views leading up to the reception area.

You get exactly what you pay for at the Kavalari Hotel in Fira. The Santorini Hotel view is incredible once you slide past the velvet red rope. Down the stairs you will find the front office. The front office is super helpful with any questions you have during your stay.

Tourists can be seen lined up above the Kavalari to take the famous caldera view panoramic. Luckily for you, you're going to be staying at the Kavalari so you can get the shot without everybody else in the way. The hotel features a small "cold tub" which is not shown in the video.Breakfast is a highlight if you get up early and grab a great seat on the veranda. it's served daily and is included with your stay.

Great location and perfect for the sunset. Highly recommend. The wifi is horrible here but otherwise the room sizes are great and spacious.

We came into the hotel hoping we would receive our ocean view room as we booked. We didn’t receive an ocean view room and we had to turn off and on the hot water ourself. We upgraded for another 60 euros and the room was small and the toilet didn’t work. They told us to lift the whole top toilet lid to flush the toilet and told us that the maintenance team they would come the next day. They also told us prior to upgrading that there were no upgrades and then they finally told us they had some after we found some on the internet ourselves. We tried to get a refund and the staff said no even though they didn’t have any more rooms with functioning toilets. We then requested to speak to a manager and they said he runs several other hotels and we couldn’t speak to him. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The service was awful and the people were not very nice. I recommend staying at the panorama hotel next door where we decided to go instead and had a wonderful time and amazing service. Spyros is an amazing employee and so were the bell men! We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! Please do not stay at Kavalari and save yourself the trouble! The bell men went and picked our bags up from the Kavalari Hotel and were so kind! Thank you to Spyros we wouldn’t have had such an amazing time without his help!
