Rooms are not as shown. They look and feel very worn out. Price is not justifiable. Decent breakfast though. No shampoo or shower gel provided

This hotel needs to be shut down. When you walk in, there is plastic bird dropping sheets all over the grounds from the sparrows and black mold all over the walls signifying a flood. The lights in the main lobby were off and all the display shelves empty. Gives off an eerie feeling. When we got to the desk, Marissa helped us. She was wonderful! When we checked in, we made a mistake on our reservation and needed to add a day to our stay which was no problem. Upon getting our room cards, we went to our rooms and we’re shocked. It didn’t match online photos at all. We went down to the lobby to look at other rooms but they all were terrible. When we checked out the spa, it was very empty, cold, and dirty. You can tell it was flooded and never repaired. The pool was ice cold and made weird noises. This place needs to get evaluated by the health department. Cockroaches were everywhere. The tile shook on the ground when walking which was not safe. The restaurant looked awful. We had to cancel our reservation and stay somewhere else. We feared that our things would get infested with bugs and black mold. The pictures are online are not honest. This place needs to close. Would’ve given 0 stars if I could. Pretty sure they are paying for high reviews.

The hidden gem in Greece. We went to a beautiful part of Mainland Greece on the Southern Coast in the peloponnese region. This is a less touristy place and was perfect for our family vacation.

Our hotel Grecotel Filoxenia was fantastic and right on the beach front and blessed us with some of the best sunsets.

It was quite a surreal experience as the hotel was relatively quiet despite it having some fantastic facilities. It was mainly Greeks there travelling down from Athens for a short stay. We were also the last customers at the hotel yesterday before it shut down for the winter period.

It was a stone throw from the main town of Kalamata which was a nice pleasant 30minute stroll along the sea front or a short 1euro bus trip. Although the bus driver did try to break my ankle on the second day trapping my foot in the door as I got off with Olivia ☺️. (A break down in translation. He thought we were getting off at the next stop ????.

It was lovely to be able to relax and unwind and just spend good quality time with my family.

We will definitely be back here in a few years time but next time when the children are older we will hire a car and explore more of the region including Athens which is only 2 hours away.

Everything good, but to many cats arround, we couldn't leave the door open, they get inside the room, I talk about ground floor rooms. We forgot to close the veranda door, when we comeback, a cat was sleeping on top of the bed....
