I spent 3 nights at Athens Backpackers Hostel and enjoyed my stay very much. It is conveniently located near the Acropoli Metro Station. Both the front door and the dorm door had keypads. The dorm room had a 12 digit code, which seemed a little excessive. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast had some variety. Not exciting, but nourishing, fast and easy. The common area was small but adequate. The Rooftop Bar was not open. Towels are available for rent. I was in a 6 bed female dorm, ensuite. The bunk was comfortable with a light and electric outlet. The locker was large enough to meet my needs. The drawbacks included, no hooks to hang wet towel or other belongings, no shelves in either the bathroom or dorm room. The only mirror was in the bathroom. If these were improved the hostel would deserve a solid 5 star review. Our dorm was cleaned daily as were the common areas.

Great social hostel. Staff are friendly and kind. Breakfast is included, but you need to be quick as it ends at 10 am. Met some fabulous people during my staff and can't wait to return.
