We wanted to visit the Griffen Vulture, but it was closed , so we paid the restaurant a visit. Not everything on the menu was available, but mind you , it is off season. We ordered pasta , a salade and nocchies. In the bread basket was a big dead blowfly. It was dusty and old. Well, like I said, off season. The price for a pasta at 13€ is even higher than we are used to at home and CRO is supposedly cheaper, right?
But every dish was tasty and the service was very friendly.
On the downside, there were smokers in the restaurant, some locals. I thought the times very past that you have to share your meals with the taste of stale smoke. But we are guests, so you wouldn't dare to ask to stop smoking on account of the children.
There you have it. A very, very mixed experience. I wouldn't go there again, but it pains me to say that, as the service was extremely forthcoming and the meals were definitely tasty.

Die Gäste sind angenehm, die Einheimischen und Freunde der Pensions-Familie kehren hier und da auf ein Gläschen ein, es herrscht eine sehr nette, lockere Atmosphäre.
Der Service ist freundlich, unaufdringlich, flexibel. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ist toll und es findet jeder etwas, was ihm schmeckt.
Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber sauber und gepflegt, man kann gut schlafen und freut sich über den Meerblick. Man merkt, dass die Gastgeber stetig um Verbesserungen bemüht sind.
Der Ort Beli, die Landschaft, der Strand, die ganze Stimmung lädt zum Wiederkehren ein.
Wir haben es sehr genossen hier, auch nach 15 Jahren wieder, und kommen gern zurück nach Beli, in "unsere" Pension.
