Run-down, mosquito-infested rooms and poor service. Location and view is amazing but it feels like there is no management or maintenance of the establishment.

I am gonna tell you what to do to save yourself much unneeded stress in Manakara. Book a bungalow here at the Délice Annexe, not a room at the main Hotel Délice in downtown or anywhere else, just here. Nice, clean, aerated room for 82000 ariary (November 2023)! View on both the sea and the Pangalanes Canal. Great customer service and great staff. Not 5 stars because wifi is not for granted. You are welcome ????.
Edit: the food gets 5 stars. Simple, fresh, tasty, hearty. Just miam!

Bon rhum arrangé. Les chambres ne sont pas top par contre : pas aéré, pas de pression d'eau à la douche, douche exigüe, matelat fin....

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und herzlich. Deshalb fällt es mir eher schwer ein Urteil der Zimmer abzugeben. Aus europäischer Sicht eine Kathastrophe.
Angesichts des Preises und der Tatsache, dass wir in Manakara sind ist es erträglich.
Das schlimmste für einen Europäer wird vermutlich das "Bad" sein. Positiv ist, es fließt Wasser. Allerdings sehr dünn und nicht wirklich warm. Über den Zustand der Hygiene und der Einrichtung lässt sich sagen, es ist kein Zustand.
Der Rest ist Olala.
Insgesamt hatte ich persönlich einen schönen Aufenthalt in Manakara. Der Zustand des Hotels ist für mich eher zweitrangig. Wer Luxus oder europäischen Standard sucht, sollte das Hotel allerdings meiden und tiefer in die Tasche greifen.

No warm water in bathroom. And after they tried to fix it. No water at all. Bedlight not working. Restaurant not so good. I wanted to stay a few days but i am leaving tomorrow to another place.
