The Slow Leopard Kilwa is a hidden oasis. The accommodations were beautiful, clean, and right on the beach but tucked away with lots of greenery so the entire space was totally private. The staff was incredible — friendly, so helpful, and the Swahili meals were amazing. The tours to nearby islands Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo Mnara cannot be missed as the amazing guide takes you by boat to tour these national heritage sites and snorkel beautiful reefs in the bay.

We had an incredible time staying at Slow Leopard. The food was delicious and fresh every day. And the location looks straight out of a movie. The atmosphere is that of a hidden jungle beach bungalow. The white sand beach is incredibly accessible (a few steps away from the accommodation). Lastly, the staff is unbelievably accommodating and kind, we even spent one night playing cards with them late into the evening.

Just wrapped up a staff trip with our group of 12 and we had a wonderful time.

The accommodations, food, service, staff, guides for adventures and overall vibe of this place were all incredible.

If you’re looking for a group retreat, I highly recommend checking out Slow Leopard Kilwa!!

hidden hideaway in paradise ???? it’s located in a safe area, steps from the beach, and the food was delicious!! Staff was very accommodating and we will certainly be back! This place is truly a gem.
