Un merveilleux petit hôtel avec l'amour du détail. Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement et nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise dès la première minute.
Les chambres sont très propres et aménagées dans un style typique du pays.
La nourriture (en particulier le petit déjeuner) est vraiment délicieuse.
Le service est grandiose et la plage est tout à fait typique de Zanzibar.
Nous pouvons également confirmer que le petit-déjeuner est excellent.
Les prix au restaurant sont les mêmes que dans les autres lieux touristiques de l'île.
Et oui, il y a beaucoup d'oursins dans la mer, mais on peut aussi voir des étoiles de mer, des concombres de mer, des némos et même des poulpes en train de pêcher, juste devant l'hôtel (nous avons fait une visite guidée de l'hôtel, qui était même gratuite).

Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel. Asante Sana.

Parfait ! Hôtel à taille convenable, très calme. Le personnel toujours très souriant, agréable et disponible. 2 petites piscines où nous étions seuls. Parfait pour 2 où 3 jours de repos après la Tanzanie. Merci !

Beautiful Location. WE went there twice for Dinner. Prices are quite exspensive for Zanzibar. Main meals are good.

Desserts are Not recommended at all! One night we had a Brownie that tasted Like the Freezer ... We barely touched it. The manager who Served us ... didn't even acknowledge that when taking away the full Plate or asked us If we liked it. Still had to pay for it. ????

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. La chambre était au 1er étage sans vue donc un peu déçu. Lit confort et espace ok. Très propre partout intérieur et extérieur. La terrasse pour diner et petit dej est très belle toute en bois et donne sur la plage de sable fin. On peut aller se baigner avec des chaussures car il y a des oursins partout. Et aussi vous êtes très souvent interpellés par les locaux pour de l'argent ou achat. Nous restions sur la terrasse allongées sur les poires face à l'océan - c'était magique ! les 2 piscines annoncées n'en sont pas. Très petites et très chaudes ! aucun intérêt si ce n'est pour les enfants qui jouaient. Le service était vraiment très long parfois. Attente de 30 mns pour un apéro qui n'en était plus un. Les repas étaient bons. L'accès est à plus d'une heure de stone town. Nous étions à côté du snorkeling donc très pratique et ils nous ont amenés sur les sites en voiture. Voilà ! Villa kiva est un hôtel sympa en bord d'océan avec une belle végétation et certains serveurs étaient vraiment cools ! merci !

Super und saubere Anlage. Tolle Lage direkt am Strand mit eigenen kleinen Privatstrand. 2 Pools aber nicht mit Meerblick. Sehr hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Gutes Restaurant mit tollem modernen Design. Frühstück sehr gut, aber kein Schinken und Käse verfügbar.
Nette Sitzmöglichleiten wie z.B. Sitzkissen und Loungemöbel.
Zimmer sehr sauber und modern inkl. Klimaanlage. Gut funktionierende Dusche und Wasserversorgung. Sehr gutes und schnelles W-Lan in der gesamten Anlage.
An dem öffentlichen Strand sind leider sehr viele Strandverkäufer unterwegs, die mit der Zeit nerven können. Fußläufig sind viele nette kleine Restaurants erreichbar. Ist eher im Dorf gelegen also ohne Moped oder Auto eigentlich keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Tauchschulen und Kiteschulen sind auch fußläufig erreichbar bzw. kann man sich von welchen abholen lassen.
Öffentlicher Strand leider SEHR DRECKIG und VIEL MÜLL bzw. Plastik. Hier sollte unbedingt etwas dagegen unternommen werden. Z.b. in Kooperation mit dem anderen Hotels und Bars und Restaurants Müllsammeln.
Preise für z.B. Sonnenbrille, oder Strandkleidung was man sich einfach so in dem Hotel kaufen kann sind unverschämt. Muss mann sich auch nicht kaufen, wenn man nicht möchte. Aber 200$ für ein Strandkleid oder 65$ für eine Plastiksonnenbrille no Name ist schon heftig.
Hotel versucht so Plastikfrei wie möglich zu sein. Man bekommt eine Glasflasche die man sich kostenfrei mit Trikwasser auffüllen lassen kann. Alles andere zum trinken ist kostenpflichtig. Außer der Tee und der Löskaffee im Zimmer ist auch kostenfrei.
Ausflüge, Moped und Taxi können auch im Hotel gebucht werden. Die Preise dafür sind ganz ok. Geld kann auch im Hotel gewechselt werden z.B. $ in TSD.
Sand sehr weich und wird nicht heiß. Starke Ebbe ubd Flut. Nur bei Flut baden ist möglich. Relativ viel Seegras am Strand, welches uns aber nicht störte oder stank.

Super séjour de 4 jours sur une des magnifique plage de Zanzibar. Situé sur la côte nord, superbe petit hôtel très bien placé avec vue et accès direct à la plage de sable blanc. Très jolis jardins et divers coins pour chiller et adopter la "pole pole" attitude. Personnel très souriant et accueillant. Je recommande le vin blanc du Sud Afrique le Sauvignon Blanc, qu'on vous sert avec générosité et fraîcheur. Option végétarienne/vegan disponible, parlez-en avec le personnel adorable du restaurant. Jolies piscines avec jolis jardins et autres petits coins bien aménagés. Le bois et style d'aménagement de la Villa Kiva nous ont aussi beaucoup plu! Un séjour inoubliable! Asante sana à toute la team Villa Kiva!!

Fantastisk hyggeligt hotel, søde værter og personale. Mad og drikke er der ingen fingre at sætte på. Værelser er tempererede og her er rent og pænt. Mine bedste anbefalinger.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Villa Kiva this September and we had the most pleasant, comfortable stay. The staff is super friendly, very welcoming and the food is amazing. The set menu every night ( which was part of our half board package ) was so good, with different choices and amazing desserts.
A special thanks to Mercy at the reception which was always very helpful and very sweet.

We only had diner and cocktails at the restaurant. But it was the best spot in Matemwe. They serve alcohol unlike other restaurants and hotels around. The service was warm and effective, even when it was very busy.

I did not stay here. I had dinner. The pizza is very tasty!

I really loved this hotel. Its not very often I award full 5 stars on a review but this is it. There was literally no short comings on Villa Kiva. The food, rooms and service were all top notch. Its now my favorite beach hotel in the island.

Es war einfach nur traumhaft. Traumhafte Anlage, super Essen und nettes Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert, besonders Anfang Dez. Da es sehr ruhig und erholsam ist.

The staff were wonderful and accommodating in every way.
We did half-board for our food and we were never disappointed. Varying options daily and always tasty!
Yes there are locals on the beach trying to sell things but that’s nothing unusual for any beach I’ve been to around the world. Easy enough to say “no thank you” and just keep walking ;).
My son enjoyed both of the pools and the bag-chairs on the deck.
Would highly recommend Villa Kiva to anyone!!
