Zwar ist das Swahili House direkt in der Altstadt, das bring jedoch keinen großen Vorteil. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das ist das wichtigste (haben ein Tageszimmer mit Abendessen oben auf der Terasse gebucht gehabt). Das Bad ist schon sehr urig. Das Bett ist groß und eine kleine Ecke mit Drahtstühlen ladet eher nicht zum sitzen ein. Der Safe ist ein Witz (im Holzschrank ein Holzfach mit Holztürchen). Die Eingangstür ist sehr hellhörig und vermittelt nicht das Gefühl, sie ist sicher...dafür ist der Schlüssel(anhänger), der größte, den ich jemals hatte. WLAN nur direkt an der Rezeption "nutzbar". Das Essen auf dem Dach war lecker und die Bedingung freundlich. Der Ausblick am Abend war doch nicht so sehr berauschend, wie angepriesen, da man bis auf die Lichter nicht allzu viel sehen kann. Vorteil, es gibt leichte Windbriese. In der Summe solide 3.

Cet hôtel offre indéniablement des points forts, notamment sa terrasse magnifique et ses chambres spacieuses. Cependant, il pourrait bénéficier d'une mise à jour pour rajeunir son apparence générale, et la cuisine pourrait être améliorée pour offrir une expérience culinaire plus mémorable. Enfin, aucun wifi dans les chambres... pas très pratique en voyage !

I didn't stay at the hotel, I only went to the rooftop bar. The view of Stone Town is great but the staff tried to scam me. I went here during Happy Hour and upon paying my bill, after 3 beers, the staff probably assumed I was drunk so they charged me the normal rate, thinking I wouldn't notice. I also wanted to buy some snacks but they charge 10 usd for 3 samosas... really?!? With such behaviors and practices no wonder the place was almost empty

One of the best 360 degrees view of Stonetown. I consider it costlier than most other restaurants but they offer good services. The Alfredo was nice. They offer happy hours at about 16hrs while the also have special meal offers each day. I recommend a visit before you leave Stonetown.

The highest building in Zanzibar with a beautiful view. There's a pool and the samosas were very delicious. Nice place to relax.

My review concerns only the rooftop restaurant as we haven't interacted with the hotel.

My wife and I came for dinner and drinks on the rooftop restaurant.
The food was expensive and middling, the cocktails were good.
At the end of the meal we opted to pay in USD and were charged at 2200shillings/USD rather than the going rate of 2500, which left me astonished.
It's not clear whether the server thought we wouldn't notice, but the result is that we tipped nothing and wound up paying about what we expected to. Instead of leaving pleased, we had a foul taste in our mouth at the attempt to rip us off.

Be careful if you choose to dine here.

Restaurantul si barul sunt pe acoperiș, motiv pentru a care priveliștea este foarte interesantă.
Este placut sa observi cum mai multe culte religioase sunt atat de apropiate unele de altele.
Personalul este foarte primitor si amabil, iar interiorul cladirii este de parca desprins din povestile celor 1001 de nopti.

Curtea interioara foarte frumoasa.

Great views from the rooftop. Food was ok, but a bit pricey and didn't quite match the descriptions on the menu. I would recommend for drinks but less so for a meal. They have an elevator up to the rooftop which was nice as well.

Hicimos solo una noche de escala antes de volar. Pero la habitación estaba muy buen. Aire acondicionado, agua embotellada. Mosquiteras en la cama. Y el servicio fue muy amable. También disfrutamos de una cena en el bar de la terraza con unas muy buenas vistas. La ubicación es muy buena también, pues te permite ir andando al centro de la ciudad y ver el mercado...

Très bel hôtel à l'ancienne mais où les véhicules ne peuvent pas stationner devant... nous avons dû marcher avec nos valises dans des ruelles étroites, bondées de monde...on s'est demandé où on allait ! Lors de notre départ à minuit, on a marché sous la pluie avec nos valises pour rejoindre notre taxi...
Hôtel très bruyant.
La vue de la terrasse est magnifique !
Cuisine médiocre mais personnel sympa !

Super Standort. Zimmer für 2-Sterne Hotel sehr gut. Essen nicht der Hammer, aber ok.
Vor dem Flug sind wir nochmals ins Hotel und wollten duschen, obwohl wir längst ausgechekt haben. Uns wurde ein Zimmer ohne Aufpreis zur Verfügung gestellt. Das nenne ich Service!

Un très bel hôtel dans les ruelles de Stonetown! La vue sur la ville est incroyable grâce au rooftop. La piscine est petite mais permet de se rafraîchir et la vue est magnifique.
La nourriture y est très bonne (mention particulière au curry de légumes) et le personnel est aux petits soins!!! Nous devions partir très tôt le matin, un petit déjeuner à emporter nous a donc été préparé.
La décoration nous plonge dans l’esprit de Zanzibar.
