Really nice atmosphere. Very vibrant. Beautiful garden.
Food is a bit expensive for a hostel.
Laundry is too expensive!
Breakfast is good.
Location is nice. Close to Coco beach and to the Slipway.
Wifi is good.

Epic hostel in Dar, great location and friendly staff, great restaurant and always has the sport on.

Non prenotate qui! Quando ho effettuato la prenotazione della camera ho subito comunicato alla struttura che sarei arrivato in tarda serata per fare il check-in e loro mi hanno confermato senza problemi. Il giorno prima scrivo un messaggio ricordando che sarei arrivato verso mezzanotte e non ricevo risposta. Quando arrivo alla struttura stanco e dopo ore di volo trovo due ragazzi masai ad attendermi mentre guardano la televisione. Mi accompagnano alla stanza e scopro che era già occupata, chiedo delucidazioni ma loro non riescono a spiegarmi perché non sanno parlare inglese. Dopo mezz’ora di diiscussione tramite Google traduttore ci dicono che la nostra stanza è stata assegnata ad altri che se vogliamo stare lì dobbiamo dormire con altri ospiti nella stessa stanza! Senza dire null’altro si rimettono a guardare la tv. Alla fine con la mia ragazza abbiamo dovuto camminare al buio all’una di notte per trovare un’altro hotel. Maleducati, poco rispettosi per non dire altro

Excellent place to stay at a reasonable price. The restaurant is also excellent. Just be aware the dorms are coed and don’t have curtains around the beds. If that does bother you I’d highly recommend The Slow Leopard.

Coming from afar as a foreigner, this hotel has to be on your hotel list.
Not only the food was affordable but the portion and the taste complement each other so well.
Though, one of the downsides of the hotel is that the ventilation of the room and the AC could have been better especially in a very hot climate in this city.

The location, services, and food are excellent. Staff were very accommodating.
The beds were comfortable and the place felt very safe.
Only one issue - with the 3-bed room (called Mnazi?) the AC is old and not very cold. Sleeping was a little challenging as cold AC is a must in Dar or you sweat all night.
I was able to see in other rooms that the AC units were new, so I would advise booking those rooms for now. There was improvement being done in the Madafu room (many bunks), with a new AC and paint.
Breakfast was good.
We will be returning, as everything was wonderful. They are 1 new AC unit from being 6 out of 5 stars! Keep it up!

A well run immigrant bar. Friendly cool atmosphere. Servers are on the ball usually. Food is decent, maybe a bit pricey but so is their rent probably. Could do with a few more Tanzanian punters but thats no one’s fault. Rugby on tv gets priority.

One of the coolest place in Dar es Salaam City. Availability of electricity 24/7, best food, drinks, strong internet ????, international community, good music ???? etc.

Stayed twice and will stay again, Great value and location in Dar. Easy-going vibe, great burgers, cold beers, hot showers (not that those are needed in Dar!), they accommodated our late arrivals and early departures with a smile. thanks for a great stay.

Best burgers in Dar. Chicken sandwiches excellent as well. Drinks reasonable, service excellent. Nice mix of locals, backpackers, business types. Many cats also.

Not the fanciest nor best views, but a solid menu with good food and a great vibe. A go-to place. Just need to get the beers colder.

Nice hostel, expensive food 24.000 tzs for main dish, good coffee, good shower, toilet paper was empty a few times, rooms have AC, mattress was wore out, rooms are very full and beds close to each other and corridors between beds very narrow

Watched World Cup rugby at the restaurant. Lively atmosphere and service.

The lodge is literally located at the beach, this makes the ambiance very unique and romantic.
After a 5 km run at the bay we choosed to eat at the lodge; perfect choice cause the chef made us some delicious post work out dinner; a good amount with high quality!
The staff was kind; made the best coffee and you can laugh with them!
We will return on our route home next time!
