KIA (Kilimanjaro International Airport) Lodge is an unpretentious Savannah getaway run by a Dutch couple with simple cottages with AC on a secluded hill and represents a convenient accommodation option for many travelers due to its proximity to the Airport (5 minutes, 1km gravel road drive far) for an overnight stay before or after a long flight. The hotel has a large shady bar area, a rather old fashioned swimming pool, a Kilimanjaro mount panorama view point (The mount is usually fully covered by clouds), a gift shop open 07:00–09:00 and 12.30-19:00 and a small jewellery shop specialising in Tanzanite. Rooms have beds with mosquito nets.

Best airport hotel I ever stayed in. The grounds and rooms are amazing. The staff was very professional and hospitable and the food was amazing. I enjoyed the entire experience!

For $300 a night the flush did not work. Find something else

La estancia fué agradable, nos hospedamos allí de paso ya que habíamos estado 24h de vuelos y esparas y nos sirvió para pasar la tarde relajados y descansar. El personal es muy amable aunque las instalaciones son modestas, la pisicina no incitaba a bañarse.

As we arrived late at night, we didn't see a lot of the hotel area.
The room served it's purpose for just a night. It was clean and big enough. The hotel staff was very welcoming and attentive.
