RÉUNION FISHING CLUB

When you take an intergenerational family (with kids) out on a deep sea fishing trip, the least you can do is let them know the seas may be a little rough. There was no communication about how rough the seas were, which is why 4/6 people on our family trip got very sick. Seasoned fisherman hadn't been out in days because the water was not calm enough, but of course this wasn't shared with our group. Additionally, unknown to us, the seas are always calmer in the AM, but that was not shared either. These are all basic things a well run customer service oriented business would normally share with clients - but not Reunion Fishing Club. Unless your a passionate / professional deep sea enthusiast, I can't recommend these guys, they were just after our private boat fare of ~ $500 euros and their fish, didn't care about our comfort. They were mad we all got sick and they weren't able to spend enough time on the water fishing. They cleaned the two yellowtail we caught for themselves, didn't offer any fish to our party, until I asked and then reluctantly gave us the uncleaned Bonito . . . . .and stupid us, they still got a tip.

Fished with Captain Bertrand and mate Tim on Are Nui for 6 days. The boat is spacious, fast and comfortable. Plenty of food and drinks were supplied for the 10 hour trips. Bertrand and Tim were excellent company, very friendly, spoke good English and discussed and kept us fully informed of fishing plans to give us the best chance of fish. They provided very helpful tuition and guidance on fishing techniques. Well, the fishing was very good and we caugh fish every day including yellowfin tuna, dorado and many other species. Highlights were a 250kg(550lb) blue marlin and two giant trevally each of 35kg. We would certainly like to fish with Bertrand and Tim again!

Matinée au top avec Bertrand et Tim, première pêche pour nous 6 et nous avons sorti un marlin de 126kg grâce à leurs conseils. Je recommande à tous, nous avons pu apprendre plein de choses autant sur la pêche que sur toute l'île en général.

Experience assez décevante.

Nous n'avons eu que très peu d'explications sur la pêche à laquelle nous avons assisté.
L'activité consistait à observer l'équipe faire toutes les préparations sous nos yeux sans aucune forme de pédagogie associée.
En résumé : nous étions uniquement là "pour tirer sur la canne lorsque ça mordait".

Bon acceuil par Bertrand et Enzo, ils ont eté de formidables instructeurs et nous avons passé un inoubliable moment de conviailité merci à vous deux.
12 fevrier nouvelle sortie en mer pour la pêche au gros avec Bertrand et Tim, bel acceuil notre pêche 2 daurades coryphene, 2 thon Bananes, et un thon jaune une très bonne matinée avec le soleil et le sourire. À refaire avec plaisirs
