✌️Peaceful Nature Getaway with Room to Improve We recently stayed at Hôtel de Plein Air Le Chanset in Ceyrat, just outside Clermont-Ferrand, and overall had a positive experience. This place is all about location, nature, and simplicity—great for families, hikers, and anyone wanting to unplug.

???? Breathtaking Location
Tucked in the foothills of the Auvergne volcanoes, the views were absolutely stunning. You're surrounded by nature, yet only minutes from the city and attractions like Royat, Puy-de-Dôme, and Vulcania.

???? Variety of Stays
We liked the choice between mobile homes, chalets, and camping pitches. Our chalet was basic but functional—just what we needed after long days exploring.

????‍????‍????‍???? Family-Friendly Vibe
There's a playground, a small pool, and lots of open space. Our kids had a great time. It felt safe and relaxed, even with other families around.

???? Great Base for Exploring
You're in a quiet area, but close to everything. Shops, trails, paragliding, lakes—you name it.

❌ What Could Be Better
???? Facilities Need Love. The communal bathrooms and some of the chalets could really use updating. Clean enough, but definitely showing wear.

???? Inconsistent Cleanliness. Some areas were spotless, others not so much. A bit more attention to cleaning—especially in high season—would go a long way.

???? Privacy & Noise. Depending on your pitch or chalet, it can feel a bit tight. One night was a bit noisy with kids playing late, but overall manageable.

???? Weak Wi‑Fi. Wi‑Fi only really works near reception. Not ideal if you're trying to work remotely or stay connected.

???? Final Thoughts If you're looking for a peaceful, no-frills escape into nature, Le Chanset is a great choice. It's not a luxury resort—but it doesn’t pretend to be. Just bring realistic expectations, your sense of adventure, and maybe a good flashlight—and you'll enjoy the fresh air and family time.

Would we come back? Yes—for the location, value, and views. With a few updates, this place could be a hidden gem.
