MARCO POLO TOURS & SAFARIS

I was quite anxious before the trip as I didn’t know what to expect: this was my first safari experience. But everything went extremely smoothly. Our guide Richard was very nice, he showed us quite a lot of animals and told us a lot about savannah and Kenya. We saw many lions, a leopard, a giraffe, elephants, zebras, and other animals and birds.

Accommodation was nice too: Marco Polo offers packages with quite nice hotels. We were actually very surprised that a hotel in the middle of savannah would be so comfortable.

We also used Marco Polo Tours for transfer from our hotel, as our tour operator wanted to pick us up too early before the flight. The driver came right in time and the transfer went smoothly.

Words cannot express our gratitude and appreciation to our guide, Michael. He gave us the best safari experience. I've been on many safaris, and even to Masai Mara previously. Nothing compared to his impeccable service, teaching, driving, and care. He asked us at the start of our trip what we were hoping to see. We saw everything, and more. We had an 11 day safari with Marco Polo safaris and it was the best experience. I enquired with many companies before travelling and Marco was great at replying and giving advice on the best way to do such a long safari which included an internal flight and a hot air balloon trip. There is always a worry about making payments in advance but that's where trust is essential and I would not hesitate to use Marco again or to recommend him and his company to anyone. He even booked and arranged our hotel at Diani beach which saved us time and effort.

We had 2 drivers for our Safari. Michaeal Kimeu took us on the first half and he was just the best. Michael was a careful and considerate driver, had a great, genuine personality and did everything he could to get us to see the animals. Boniface (Bonnie) was our second driver and he was equally good. He took us to all the beautiful spots and managed to get us to see some amazing sites of lions straight after a kill (not for the faint hearted!).

As I said before, I would definitely recommend Marco Polo safaris and I hope you get to see all of the things we saw plus more.

Ich habe bei Marco Polo eine 2-tägige Flugsafari in den Masai Mara und eine 4-tägige Safari von Nairobi startend über Amboseli, Tsavo West und Tsavo Ost nach Diani Beach gemacht. Beide Touren waren perfekt! Unsere Tourguides waren freundlich, sichere Fahrer, immer pünktlich und hatten ein großes Wissen über die Tierwelt. Die Kommunikation mit Marco war unkompliziert, schnell und immer zuverlässig. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist fair. Ich kann jedem empfehlen, bei Marco zu buchen, statt bei einem großen bekannten Anbieter, da man damit ein lokales Unternehmen in Kenia unterstützt.
