Very beautiful house. The hosts are very nice and can go above and beyond if you give them enough notice. The views are exceptional and the house is very private. The house was built in 1740. Though it was updated it is still old - with reasonable expectations you will not be disappointed. What the home misses in amenities is made up with location and customer service. Would recommend, but only to those that do not expect luxury.

Ficámos na casa da Cascata do Ferreiro e adorámos. A localização é excelente, do melhor na Ilha das Flores, junto à cascata do Poço do Bacalhau, na Fajã Grande.
A casa tem boas condições e a limpeza era a adequada. É pena ter apenas um WC, dado que tem capacidade para 8 pessoas.

The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. The full kitchen was wonderful to make coffee and breakfast every day.
The staff was responsive to emails and incredibly helpful in renting us a car.
I would consider this more a three star establishment than a four star — but would stay here again in an instant.
The wifi was spotty — but that’s the least of your worries in such beauty. ????
