Es ist schwer in Worte zu fassen, aber Kuanza hat unsere São Jorge Reise zu etwas ganz besonderem gemacht. ☺️
Unglaublich schöne Anlage, sehr sauber und die Häuschen haben alles was man braucht.
Das Personal ist ebenfalls super hilfsbereit, freundlich und dazu auch noch lustig. ????

The Kuanza team has created a beautifully and thoughtfully designed space in a stunning environment. It is remote and accessed by a 2km quad-bike ride or hike from the parking lot, so bring groceries, but once you're there you won't want to leave! The houses are equipped with everything you need for a private night in, while the shared wood-fired grills, fire pits, pools, and sauna create a community that is encouraged by the delightful owners Nuno and Susan and the staff. The sun sets at the intersection of the island and ocean, the stars are brilliant, and fresh-baked bread is delivered every morning.

Totally great place for top level rest in the wild nature. Amazing attitude towards guests, indeed unique location, beatiful fully equipped houses. The place has its soul and is perfect for searching for a special rest. Reccomended!

I hesitate to write a review, because I would love to keep this gem hidden away from "a ton of people visiting" once they know about it. Our experience at Kuanza was wonderful. One of the owners Susan was incredibly responsive and helpful with giving us all the information we would need prior to our arrival. Berto (? I am sure I am misspelling this), the manager was knowledgeable, kind and was there for anything we could need, and finally, we were so incredibly lucky to have Nuno, the other owner staying at his property. Nuno understands how to make a guests' experience unique and wonderful. This team and their staff do not fall short when it comes to customer experience. We stayed in Bela Luo, which was a one bedroom home just set back from the shore. The house has everything you could want, and the bathroom towels and bedroom linens were "luxurious". In addition, a bag of fresh warm bread was delivered daily. The location is unbeatable and the attention to detail and quality was noticeable. The one drawback that I could see would be for guests that weren't keen on a 20-25 minute walk to their car. The owners are very clear on the website that the homes are self catering and that upon arrival, a quad will take your luggage and groceries to your home, but after that if you want to go to your car, you are using your legs! Perhaps this was what added some character to the location. Regardless, it was an amazing stay. Upon our arrival, Berto took us to a little "restaurant", not sure you could call it that, but the owners and food were lovely, and we had a coffee and beer. No hurry as Berto described the area and where we would be staying. We were welcomed not as guests, but old friends visiting. As much as I would love for this property to stay hidden, I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Amazing villas in the heart of the nature of the unesco geosite of Sant George island at Azores. Had wonderful experience with trekking to reach the house, full equipped of facilities, swimming pools just in front of Atlantic Ocean

We stayed here for 4 nights…if we could we’d stay for other 4. It is really a peace of heaven.
We were lucky to find the house right in front of the ocean, waking up with the sound of the waves and having breakfast watching the see has no price.
The walk is about 25-30 minutes from the nearest village reachable with car/scooter, it starts with a steep climb than gets more gentle, the view is amazing.
The host Beto picked us and the luggages up in Cubres with the quad and was super helpful and welcoming for our entire staying.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, peaceful and elegant getaway immersed in breathtaking nature…this is the place for you!
P.s.: you’ll get fresh hot bread every morning right by your door.
