This place is an absolute MUST stay!!!

Pocinhobay is one of the most special places that I’ve ever stayed. My husband and I stayed there for three nights during our honeymoon trip to the Azores. It was stunning, and so peaceful.

Luisa, the homeowner, was there to receive us upon check-in. She gave us a tour of the property, and was available throughout our stay for any questions or needs.

We stayed in their new one bedroom villa, which was absolutely stunning. We had a patio that wrapped around the entire place, a private pool, and a beautiful view of Pocinhobay and the ocean. The Villa was fully stocked with all amenities, contemporary finishes, organic soaps, and incredible art from Luisa’s travels.

We had a full, fresh, local breakfast in one of the common areas every morning, surrounded by photographs and art from all over the world.

The property is so peaceful to meander through. It is private and quiet. It feels like the perfect balance between a historic glimpse of Pico and a contemporary approach to design.

Definitely recommend renting a car, as the only other way to get around is really taxis. The resort is not really in walking distance to very much, but it is within 15-20 min driving distance to lots of restaurants and points of interest, as well as the airport.

Bottom line…stay here! We cannot wait to go back again!

Like in paradise! The location is idyllic, lovingly and stylishly furnished, the hosts and the staff are totally friendly and authentic. An absolute recommendation if you want to stay overnight on the island!

Wow, fall in love with this place as I met Luisa and Jose.
They are amazing hosts making you feel at home.
The rooms are beautiful lava houses, the pool is near their vineyards, common areas, and there is a nice beach in front of the hotel. Hope to come back again!

Wunderschönes Haus, toll eingerichtete Zimmer mit ganz besonderen Accessoires, die Lage wie im Paradies, sehr nettes Eigentümerpaar, es gibt nichts zu verbessern. Vielen Dank, das ist wie im Paradies.
