We had a great stay at the Octant Furnas! Furnas is a charming town in my favorite place on earth, Sao Miguel, Azores. My stay started with an incredibly effortless, comfortable check in with Elisabeth. Check in is done sitting at comfortable tables in the beautiful lobby, over a glass of island pineapple liquor. Then I saw the room - very elegant! The thermal pools are incredible. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor pool with the view of the mountains and the fresh air. The indoor pool seemed more popular, but I am still very Covid conscious, so I prefer to be outdoors whenever possible. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The selection is vast, and the glass atrium setting is so fun I was very sad to leave, but I checked out (again with Elisabeth), and she made it so pleasant and easy that it softened the blow. BTW, I booked with American Express Travel. Octant is a member of Fine Hotels and Resorts, and I really enjoy the perks that come with having a platinum Amex card and booking a FHR property.

We had a wonderful time at Octant Furnas with my family of 3. Service was lovely, really liked their little extras and attention to the needs of the younger guests.

The pool area was great and the gym had a well rounded package for it's size. Really enjoyed also the garden where my daughter took around a 100 pics of the fishes ????

Breakfast was good and restaurant was also nice for snacks and á la carte.

We only stayed for two nights but will definitely be back if we find ourselves on this Island again ???? Then I'd definitely try the spa as well.

No puede disfrutar del hotel ya que teniendo reserva desde agosto nos llaman en diciembre con menos de un mes de antelación a nuestra llegada para indicarnos que van a estar cerrados, por lo que nos ofrecen un hotel de su cadena en la ciudad a 40 minutos de donde estaba este, en plena naturaleza, ofreciendo un obsequio de una botella de vino ( que no nos gusta) por las molestias causadas; después de varios días de angustia por saber que iba a pasar conseguimos que cambiarán la reserva a un hotel en furnas de similares características. Una decepción con el trato recibido ya que si tienes pensado hacer obras tan grandes como para cerrás no lo sabes 30 días antes si no que lo planificas.
Por lo demás parecía que tenía muy buena pinta y por eso lo elegimos, esperamos que esto no les vuelva a suceder y nadie tenga que pasar por nuestra situacion.

A great hotel with great people. The food at the restaurant was delicious, everything that we ordered was more than great. The breakfast is very complete and you have a lot of local food to taste. It is the first hotel that I've been that has the pool open 24 hours and the sauna and laconium 12 hours, from 9 to 9. In your room they give you a hat and a bag that you can take home, they give you sandals and a robe to use during your stay. A great experience, i don't know why it only has 4 stars when it should have 5!!

Very dark room: have to use your phone's flashlight to thread a needle or manicure. Wonder who advised the management to paint it dark green?

Otherwise, a very decent place to spend a week, if you are into thermal water therapy.
Good, high quality linen.

One thing that caught our kitchen attention - the orange juice: really fresh, acidic, natural. Thank you!

Bano de turco is notional. It is there, but hardly supports its name: turks would be ashamed. :)
Pools are great, both in~ and outdoors.

Parking space is at a premium. Beware of others in need.

One thing we wish the place considers is building thermal waters
therapy practice (vs outsourcing it to Terra Nostra Garden Hotel roughly next door.

Gorgeous hotel in such a calm setting. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Breakfast was excellent, great staff and always so peaceful. Spa facilities were perfect after a day of exploring. Restaurant on site has great dinner options and was delicious! Bed and pillows super comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent, high class hotel near a thermal spring in Furnas; the rooms are tasteful, well-stocked (with regular housekeeping), and the pool is heated by the thermal springs. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast each day in the hotel restaurant. Furnas is a little out of the way on the island, but not unreasonably so. The town is charming. There is ample parking in front of the hotel. We loved this hotel and plan to come back; however, we probably will only come in shoulder or low season.

Love this hotel - great service, friendly staff, amazing pool with really cool water features. The hotel gets the big things right and there's a bunch of small details (evening snacks, fun stuff for the kids, games area) that pushes it over the top.

L'hôtel est magnifique et chaleureux, très bien situé à Fournas, près des Caldeiras et d'un joli jardin. Le personnel est très accueillant et serviable (thé et bonbons en libre service). Les chambres sont très confortables et nous avons apprécié les piscines intérieure et extérieure (à 38 degrés) ainsi que la salle de gym. Le restaurant est très agréable : petit déjeuner et diner excellents servis dans une salle très bien décorée.

Easy 5/5. One of my favourite hotels. Well designed with great attention to detail. 24h pool, nighttime snacks, fruits. Breakfast was outstanding in selection and quality. Were in Terra Nostra also, which was also good, but Octant was great.

Bike rental 15 euro for 4 hours is a great deal for the active couple.

Muy mala, para no volver. Habitaciones ridículamente pequeñas para el precio que tiene. No habían preparado la habitación, comimos en el restaurante del hotel, nada recomendable y para colmo en el desayuno nos encontramos una cucaracha muerta desayunando al lado nuestro,sin comentarios. Para rematar nos retuvieron 100 € más, antes del cheking out. Una semana después no he recibido ese dinero. Porque nos lo retuvieron, pues no hemos recibido explicaciones aún habiendo puesto una queja en su web. NO VISITEN ESTE HOTEL porque n se lo merecen, pero menos sino van a usar las instalaciones del spa que las cobran de forma general las uses o no las uses. PERO LA CUCARACHA FUE EL COLMO.
