What a stunning RV Resort! We were blessed to spend a week at site 60. So well decorated with wonderful art throughout and a great Tiki hut. The owner has really taken special care of this great site.
Sunrise views over the water were amazing and the easterly breeze mitigated the heat. The entire facility is so special. The staff is amazing. Well worth the money to stay here.
Wish we had rented some SeaDoo's for the week. Water out to the ocean is just 18" deep, but the SeaDoo's seemed to jet across the shallow water with ease.
Just 20 minutes from all the great restaurants and nightlife in Key West!
Customer service is the worst. I tried to spend the weekend with my family and they would only let you take 6 adults and 2 pets but would not make an exception for 6 adults and a 4 year old. It just sounds ridiculous to me. I called and no one could help no even paying an extra fee for the 4 year old. I wouldn’t recommend going there.
I expected better. The sites on the water and overall RV park were beautiful. Our daughter stayed in Site 7 and we could see Site 8 and they were amazing and updated and clean. Site 47 was awful. The furniture was old and moldy and the refrigerator and bar were dirty. See the pictures below. Someone told us it belonged to someone who was never there. If so, management needs to check these things before they are rented for $350 a night. The pool and laundry facilities need updated and cleaned. We had nice neighbors and met nice owners and people, but it did feel a little like big brother was watching. My husband went to rinse off our RV when management appeared five minutes later and told us we needed to pay $20. Okay. I guess the $350 we paid per night did not cover those extra five gallons of water? We paid it. No problem. But seemed a little silly. We left two days early and cancelled a six week reservation for next year.
Stayed here for a week over New Years. Magical place. Our tiki hut had a loaded kitchen, furniture, TV and was HUGE. Our particular tiki hut was fenced in which made it perfect for the dogs to roam free. I do see what people say about not being dog friendly, everywhere you turned had a “keep your dog out of here sign”. The kids park was a large grassy area that was never used and the dog approved area was smaller and used constantly. They wouldn’t even allow dogs on the WIDE gravel path behind our tiki hut that led to the canal. That would have been a great dog area. Just outside of our tiki hut was a kayak launch dock. We rented kayaks for the week, not sure I’d do that again as we really didn’t see anything and we ventured into a mangrove area and got stuck in sand bars 5 times. It was scary as there were baby jelly fish and we didn’t want to put our feet in the water to get out. I was freaked out thinking the tide would recede and we’d be stuck out there. This was the farthest south RV Resort in the Keys and still a fair drive into Key West. It was expensive but I think worth it.
My husband, kids, and I vacationed at Blue Water Key last year and it was the best experience! Definitely recommend, and will definitely be visiting again in the future.
First off I'd like to say, that the grounds are beautiful. Very beautiful place to stay, if you're staying in the Keys.
About 20 minutes from Key West and any activity.
This camp ground, it's not kid "friendly"(no play ground), basic amenities, dated pool, no store, dated laundry area (coin only)(1 card machine). They also have a lobby by the pool, that has air hockey and other little games. But, all but one day, it was locked.
Don't expect approval of your dogs if they are a certain breed.
We were fortunate to have a nice Tiki (site 11) but, not every Tiki is as nice, so do your research!
They had planned events, that were canceled and we weren't notified.
The real reason for my 3 star review, is mostly because we stayed a week, with zero wifi. They just couldn't figure it out, I guess.
At&t has trash reception in this camp ground. Just a FYI.
I feel like an older generation runs this facility.
If you're low maintenance people that like to spend a lot of money. This is the place for you!
Was the juice worth the squeeze? This was one of the nicest RV parks we've ever been to (top 3). But it was also more than two times what we've ever paid before. To be fair the KOA down the road was in the same ballpark, keys are just super expensive. The staff was nice, the maintenance was top notch, pool and laundry room were good. We had a silver site on the bay and that was good for us. Not sure if the premium sites would have been worth the extra money and we would have been very disappointed with a canal or tropical site. One positive for us was it was super quiet, if you like more action this might not be the spot for you. Also if you plan on bringing a boat read the caveats very carefully (very shallow). The keys in general were on our bucket list, and we were two months into a 3-month trip so just needed some place to chill. So yes the juice was worth the squeeze for us.
This rv resort is basically the best rv spot we’ve stayed (besides Motorcoach Country club in Indio, Ca). We spent 5 days renting a site and it was perfect. The location is close enough to Key West but is intimate and quiet. We will def be back!
The Resort is beautiful you probably won't find better in Key West. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. They had live music, the pool area and clubhouse look new and inviting. That being said our personal experience wasn't as nice. I'll start by saying it was over $1500 for 5 nights. I was ok with that for the Gold site I purchased with all it's amenities. When we got there the counter in the tiki hut, TV, sink and I believe refrigerator were blocked off by a tarp (which was stained). The furniture was old and some was actually plastic. When we called to get access to the counter, in the tiki hut, a maintenance man was sent to tell us it was now a silver site. Those amenities were not included. We could upgrade for more money if sites were available. I emailed the original reciept to the office showing the purchase of a gold site. No response yet, it has been almost a week. These are privately owned lots some are gorgeous. Our lot (51) is an ocean side lot, but doesn't meet the standard of most other lots in the resort, it was disappointing.
More than beautiful. This is resort RV living at its best. One downside-deposit is lost if you break down and miss your arrival date. Most sites work with customers. This place had no joy for RV owners who experience problems beyond their own control. Lost 2700.00. Sad days indeed.
Very nice sites. If you have a smaller boat or pontoon boat it’s fine but a larger boat will not be able to navigate through the shallow bay. But it’s only 20 minutes or less to key west.
This was a great location. We had a bayfront spot, and although the owner of spot 49 didn’t put much work into it (it was very old and no cool furniture, tv etc like the other spots clearly all had), we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were pros at helping us get our 45’ toy hauler backed in, and helped our family members in another spot immediately with other concerns. The pool area could really use a refurbish, however many guests still got great use out of it.

I had been trying to stay here for couple of years and finally got the opportunity. Checked it off my bucket list.
The team members Ellie and Ava in the office were a real pleasure to work with.

We enjoyed the pool and game room as well!
We will definitely be back!
