We've been coming here for years. The only place we'll stay in Marathon

Family owned by a very delightful family. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The place is quaint and kept up very well. We highly recommend the Blackfin Resort Motel & Marina.. Stayed there while on a fishing trip and will be back to stay again!

Un motel molto funzionale e ben tenuto. In zona ci sono fast food e supermercati, e nel momento della nostra visita abbiamo potuto partecipare al Marathon Seafood Festival, un evento con musica dal vivo, cibo, bevande e tante piccole cose da acquistare.
Le camere sono pulite e dispongono di parcheggio gratuito per gli ospiti proprio davanti la porta d'ingresso. A piedi si può raggiungere la spiaggia e la marina. Unica nota negativa è la ricezione del wifi piuttosto bassa.

Kleines Motel an der Hauptstraße US1 auf dem Key Marathon. Wir waren für eine Nacht mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern in einem Zimmer mit zwei Queen-Size-Betten. Das Zimmer war so, wie man es von einem 2* Motel in Amerika erwartet (also sehr sehr einfach, klein und knarzig mit Mini-Badezimmer, dafür aber unfassbar teuer), aber immerhin absolut sauber. Es ist klimatisiert, aber nicht mit einer ,richtigen‘ Klimaanlage sondern mit einem kleinen Wärmetauscher, der zwar offensichtlich brandneu war, aber dennoch extrem laut ist und direkt auf eines der beiden Betten pustet. Immerhin funktionierte es. Zum positiven: die Anlage verfügt über einen eigenen kleinen gepflegten Strand nebst Wasserzugang, hat eine schöne und gepflegte Außenanlage mit vielen Sitzplätzen und einen brauchbaren Pool. Drum herum gibt es unendlich viele Diner und Supermärkte, im Motel selbst nur einen Cola-Automaten. In Deutschland residiert man zum gleichen Preis direkt am Brandenburger Tor, für die Keys war das Motel im preislichen Mittelfeld. Nach Key West ist es noch etwa eine Stunde von hier aus. Wir waren mit den Kids als Ausflug im ,Turtle Hospital‘ (2 km Entfernung).

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar. Goede service! Schone kamers met prima bed. Prachtige haven.

Sehr schönes Motel. Zimmer sind sauber und sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Hier ist es sehr ruhig.

Blsckfin resort was very nice, owners where helpfull with whatever we needed. It had a cute beach area overlooking the water and a pool as well. The proximity to each end of the keys was great.

If you’re not white, don’t come here. Booked for one night for my husband and I as a mini get away (we live in Miami so it’s a couple hours drive). we checked in, put our stuff in our room, then made our way to the beach area. We left the beach area and came back to our room and this is where things got weird. as we approached our room door, the man sitting outside of the next room looked at my husband and said “don’t be rude boy”.( My husband is black). We looked at the man and his wife very confused because we hadn’t done anything wrong. The man began to go off about how people need to speak when they walk by someone and acknowledge them. His wife was incredibly drunk but bubbly and kind. she was trying to calm the situation down by talking about other things and it worked. things calmed down, everyone had talked. she kindly invited me outside for a glass of wine and I accepted, trying to also de-escalate things and not upset our neighbor again. as we are outside drinking wine her husband was saying how I need to have a baby because it’s the American way and other strange things but I ignored it and was trying to finish my glass of wine and go. The man’s friend came out now, who was staying in the next room, and he said Mexicans are good for picking the strawberries, saying we are all criminals, and other very derogatory things about Mexicans. I AM MEXICAN. at this point my eyes have tears in them as I am extremely uncomfortable and my husband was trying to intervene but I I didn’t want him to because it was more of them and only one of him.. I go back into our room and take my husband with me, and what turned into a mini vacation turned into a mini hell. I could still hear them outside saying racial slurs. My anxiety was out of the roof and I no longer wanted to sleep in that room with all of them around me, so I went to the front desk to see if I could get my money back because it wasn’t even 8 PM yet or if I could get a different room. I went to the front and it was locked with no one at the desk so I called the number on the door. A man answered the phone and I explained to him what happened. He said he was coming to meet me at the front. He came walking up, I got out of my car still teary eyed and explained what happened thinking he would help. He told me he won’t refund the room or give me another room, and if something happens to call the cops. He made me feel like I didn’t matter. He didn’t even address the racial slurs or me being incredibly uncomfortable. He was very stale and cold about the situation and that only scared me more. as he started to walk off I asked for his name and he didn’t say anything. I have never written a review before in my life. I am not a mean person or uptight at all. I’ve never experienced something like this and I can’t put into words how nervous and out of place it made me feel. I am going to try to contact someone higher up and see what I can do over the next couple weeks because this situation was very weird and scary for me and my husband. I paid 250$ for that room for one night of relaxing and it ended up being miserable and trashy and it might sound dramatic but it was traumatizing. I’ve never had to go through this before

Do not stay here !!!!
The toilet speaks for itself as to the condition of the bathroom. The shower stall was covered in black mold. Chris the GM wanted to silicon the mold or bleach the black mold. Can you believe it. We were suppose to sleep in the same room with all these fumes if we gave the ok. No way !!
Stay elsewhere. We did not stay - unacceptable !!!!

This was our first time going to the Keys. This place was ok for a night. Rooms were clean. And smelled clean too. Everyone was nice. Love the marina.

Location is wonderful! This resort and marina has everything you would want - big pool, clean bathrooms, laundry - wash and dry, hot showers! Beach area with loungers, seating, and shaded gazebo, and a carved out area to swim looking out on the beautiful Gulf. Great value for the price. Friendly staff and community. Chris and Ruthie run an A+ resort!

My boyfriend and I recently had a 6 night stay at Blackfin Resort and Marina for the very first time. I had originally found them last year when we were booking our first trip to the keys. This time around I absolutely wanted to stay at a waterfront resort and Blackfin did not disappoint. Their resort is conveniently located right off the overseas highway with a variety of rooms, marina, pool, fishing charters, laundry facilities, wifi, and complete with a sandy waterfront with a tiki hut, beach chairs and bbq’s! Great location, close to many restaurants and even walking distance to some food trucks-Irie Island Eats and Takeria La Palapa (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!).
The rooms were lovely; very clean, spacious, comfortable beds and it looks like they are constantly putting in effort to update the space. There was daily housekeeping and coffee supplies were also replenished daily (this is very important if you’re up early to take in all that the keys have to offer)!

Things we didn’t like which were very minor:
-We were lucky enough to have a room very close to the source of the wifi, but otherwise, I don’t think many rooms have access to it. (But does this really matter when you’re in the Florida Keys?)
-The shower floor was damaged which affected us in NO WAY, but was really just unsightly and concerning as homeowners. It didn’t affect our stay at all!

We would absolutely stay here again if returning to the Florida Keys!

Rooms were very clean, and the beach area was beautiful. Fantastic that they are pet friendly and very accommodating. One of the best places to stay in the keys.

We rented a slip for 12 days and found this place to be great. The facility was clean and well maintained along with the owners being always available and helpful. Restaurants, grocery stores etc was very convenient also. Definitely recommend

Wifi not in room, only in pool area. Beds not comfortable. Pool is nice _________________________________________________________ Rooms are okay. Laundry onsite. No breakfast _________________________________________________________ Good choice, when cheap, and you re not an "online person" _________________________________________________________ Good Wifi signal in harbour, but password (not provided) needed.
