OLD CITY HOUSE

We made reservations for the Alcazar room & stayed 3 nights during St Augustine Nights of Lights. The room was wonderful and cozy. The private entry added an extra layer of privacy & was very quiet. We want to make sure we compliment Juan who was extremely gracious and welcoming & attended to our needs. We also want to compliment Barbara & Kim for making our mornings at breakfast cheerful & memorable. Both ladies gave us great breakfast service & Barbara made our room sparkle each day. The breakfasts were 2 courses each morning and were different each day. They were delicious & very filling. Juan & Max are very talented chefs. This restaurant, we discovered is extremely popular and sought after & I am very glad that I made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner! My husband still talks about the Cioppino that he had on Christmas Eve. Robin was our server on Christmas Eve and she was wonderful. Everything was delicious-the escargot, the cauliflower soup, cioppino & the swordfish with shrimp & creme brule! We love St Augustine & intend to return and stay again in another room. All the rooms at Old City House are uniquely appointed with lovely furnishings. Breakfast in the restaurant is served every morning at 9:00. If you want coffee earlier, there are coffee shops nearby or bring a coffee maker. Please don’t miss out on booking a reservation at this charming, beautiful inn.
