Great experience

I stayed here recently for a team meeting and overall found the hotel to be a bit of mixed bag. My room was nice albeit a bit dated. The shower area was enormous but not particularly stylish. I had a great view over the water from the 10th floor. Being on the 10th floor had it's drawbacks however. The hotel is soon to be opening a rooftop bar/restaurant and consequently the 10th floor was like a building site with all of the noises and smells to go with it. ( hammering, power tools and a strong smell of paint and adhesive).
The meeting room that we were provided with was not arranged very well for our needs. There was a big display on one wall which was presented to the backs of half of our group due to the table layout. I would not recommend this place for a business meeting because the impression that they give is to scalp the customer for every little extra. High charges for coffee and drinks in the room. No provision for lunchtime meals besides the fairly pricey bar food and the event team radiated indifference, only checking in to see if we were satisfied towards the end of the last day.
The location is great, the pool area gives a great view out over the water and there are some nice bars and restaurants nearby.

I booked this hotel through Marriott website. I arrived at the hotel Thursday 12:30 Am after a long flight just to find out that they overbooked this hotel and we have no room. This is Unheard of I have a reservation and they tell me they have no room available. No one called me or emailed me to cancel. They sent me to a different hotel that was very old and not at All the hotel I would of booked. Yes they paid for the night at that hotel and added bonus points to my account. But at the time I was waiting in the lobby it seemed like a nice hotel the guy at the front desk was extremely nice and the guy outside at the door was nice and tried helping us. I would definitely like to give them another chance and leave a 5 star review.
