My husband and I stayed at this hotel because we were going on a cruise and it was the best decision. We absolutely loved our room and the party vibe along the street.

The Avalon Hotel is a great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of all the action in South Beach. We stayed for 4 nights in Feb. 2024 and absolutely loved it. Our room and bathroom were small, and we did struggle a bit with having enough outlets and space in the bathroom, but for the price and keeping in mind that this is a 3-star level hotel (out of 5), it really was fine (we wanted to be outside all the time anyway!).
As you arrive, you’ll find the front desk in the hotel’s restaurant. As we waited to check in, I popped into the bar and grabbed a couple of beers. It was so nice to be able to do this! We loved having the restaurant and bar downstairs. This is also the spot where you’ll find your included breakfast. Each morning we grabbed our coffee and sat on the patio enjoying the warm weather and sunshine.
During the day, we grabbed beach towels from the front desk and walked across the street to the beach. The room includes beach chairs, but we preferred using the lounge chair/umbrella rental service on the beach. It was easy and inexpensive! Two beach loungers and an umbrella was $66.00 (we did tip our guy, so a little more) - and you basically own those chairs until 5:00. Highly recommend it!
Finally, evenings were easy as we found cocktails and dinner choices galore just steps from the hotel.
The Avalon Hotel was a great choice, and next time we’re in Miami, we’ll definitely stay again!

A completely satisfied customer. The rooms are small, but anything built 100 years ago was built to dimensions that fit for the time. As I sat and looked around in our room it made me try to imagine what life was like back in 1930's; no giant flat screen tvs, no need for outlets everywhere to plug in your countless devices. Just a bed, closet and bathroom is all a guy needed then and I will say that is all we truly need today. The room and hotel looked renovated and clean. Customer service (especially Camillo!!!1) was outstanding. Location was perfect. We finished our trip with supper there and the filet mignon and lobster tail were outstanding. Brace yourself, food and drinks is beyond expensive on Ocean Drive. ***additional notes: the beds were comfortable. I usually get back issues when staying at a hotel, but not here. This was the first hotel I have ever been to where I got a hot shower every time. I loved the yogurt with raspberry/strawberry and almond shavings!!!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Avalon. L’emplacement est idéal sur Ocean Drive mais la chambre que nous avions était calme ce qui était super. Le petit déjeuner inclus était un grand plus ! La chambre était un peu sommaire par rapport au prix mais tout est cher à Miami Beach ????. Je reviendrai donc au Avalon si je retourne à Miami Beach ! Super service et emplacement parfait
