I came here on my birthday excited. I booked through VRBO with a host. We did get there a bit late around 1AM. When we got there, we had to check in, then after that do valet parking. When I checked in, they stated it was a $200 refundable security deposit. Later on, you will find out that about $150 goes towards the cleaning fee plus tax and you probably get about $14 back. This was not mentioned AT ALL by the receptionist when we first checked in. All she said was a $200 REFUNDABLE security deposit.
When someone checks in to your hotel, you need to make sure your staff is very clear with what a guest is paying for. All I was told was that it was a refundable security deposit of $200 that I would get back in 2 business days.
So, I pay the refundable security deposit of $200 and get back to the car. We are trying to find the valet parking for the Tresor hotel. We ask the staff on site where it was. It was a nightmare trying to find it. We had a party of 4 and went in circles for 30 minutes trying to find it only to just end up back to where we started. We were given directions to follow streets and look for bridges to get to the valet parking. No clear and concise directions so we could get there reasonably. I went ahead and called Fontaine Bleau while we were in the car. Tell me why, I didn't know but its a call center.
When I asked the agent on the phone how to get to the Tresor Hotel valet parking, and that we were going in circles for 30 minutes, and that if there are any clear directions or address we could put in a GPS to get there sooner.. tell me why this agent is literally reading a script, and is laughing in the background. I am asking very specific questions and each time I ask I get hit with "Rest assured..." along with the street names and where you see the bridge and NO directions whatsoever on "turn left here" and "Turn right there".
You need to have signs on where these valet parkings are. It's so hard to find it especially at night. There is no reason my friends and I should be trying to find parking for over 30 minutes.
Our friends in the back pointed the way so we finally get to valet parking... on VRBO it says parking is FREE. When we get there, I ask the lady do I need to pay anything for parking. She tells me to not worry about it.
We make it inside the hotel, it was nice I will give you that.
Next day time for check out.
My checkout was at 11am but we were still allowed to do other activities there according to the host. We needed a bellhop to come and get our stuff. I call the bellhop, and they have an attitude on the phone not sure why. The bellhop comes around 10am like we requested. Friendly, nothing wrong here.
When we reach the lower floor to get our items from the bellhop, tell me why they don't have a tag on which cart has our stuff. The staff member asked is there anything that stands out to know which stuff is ours...
Why not just have tags around the actual cart with the hotel room number and name/contact on it so we don't have to go through all that trouble. That would be common sense in my opinion. On top of that, they put our stuff on the ground OUTSIDE!
Two friends stay with the bellhop items while me and the friend who drove go get the car in valet. Tell me why... they said I owe a $70 parking. When VRBO says free parking and lady from yesterday told me not to worry about it.
We had to get a manager to waive it off. While that was happening, I found out that a guest was given the wrong car at valet. Valet gave THEIR car to someone else.
Never again.
