Hotel Santa Maria had a wonderful vibe from the moment we arrived. From breakfast to happy hour the atmosphere was filled with fun and charm. The grounds were beautifully fitted with flowers and lovely places to sit. The only down side is the bathroom had a step up to the toilet on which i stumbled and hurt myself. But otherwise we absolutely loved it there.

Muy buen hotel, un oasis en el corazon de Trastevere. Amabilidad desde el minuto 1 de todo el personal del hotel. Habitacion grande con todo lo necesario para una excelente estadia. Por las tardes es posible tomar un aperitivo (con costo) y disfrutar de finger foods/tapas/picadita. Hermoso! Algo importante a tener en cuenta es que lamentablemente todos los taxis no ingresan hasta la puerta del hotel en el horario del almuerzo del fin de semana o por las noches (todos los dias) Por ello es bueno coordinar con el hotel el transporte ida y vuelta

Wonderful, magical oasis of charming hospitality! Possibly the nicest 3 days holiday I've ever had on a city break.
Every staff member was warm and accommodating from start to finish (sending us off with homemade limoncello from the lemon trees onsite!). You’ll feel well taken care of, whether it’s Kevin mixing you an Aperol spritz or Negroni, or being presented with custom art on your cappuccino.
The rooms are basic but very comfortable. We stayed in a 2 story room with twin sized bunk beds on the ground floor and a queen bed on the 2nd floor. I wouldn’t recommend the attic bedroom for anyone taller than 5’9” since the ceilings and shower head are so low.
Just be aware that the Basilica di Santa Maria has a clock tower that rings every 15 minutes so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
