I booked a hike (pico do arieiro to pico ruivo) and a bus tour to the east. Both times everything went perfect and I was extremely happy with the guides. We made plenty of stops to take pictures, and they explained a lot about the flora, fauna and geology of the island.
Just be sure to use your brain when going to the mountains: The paths are good, but you still need warm clothes, good solid shoes and a rain jacket. It's not a walk in the park!

Très bien mais ça dépend des guides... super pour celui du tour de l'ouest. Beaucoup moins bien pour le tour de l'est : commentaires très limités et conduite à revoir... redescente en 1ère : pauvre moteur !!!
