The hotel is well located to explore Valetta on foot and also quite close to the bus station should you wish to use public transport to travel further afield.
Check was simple and quick. We were advised that 150 euros would be debited to our account for expenses and the balance would be repaid to us on check out.
Our room over looked a roof so not a great view but it was large and the bed was very comfortable and cosy. Tea and coffee making facilities are available and the water was complimentary which we thought was a great touch.
The bathroom was large and well furnished with a large bath and separate shower which was great. Except our shower leaked over the floor and water ran out into the carpet area which got soaked so you did not want to walk around in bare feet. I reported this to reception.
The breakfast was just excellent with a great choice of food either continental or English breakfast. It is all buffet style but you can get your eggs cooked to order. There is plenty to eat and I have to add it is one of the beat breakfasts's we have had in a hotel.
The bar was great with a wide selection of drinks. Bar staff and for that matter all hotel staff were excellent i.e. pleasant and friendly.
Overall a great place to stay just a pity about the leaking shower.

Interesting place, old type hotel, like in the old movies; a little strânge the policy: first they are taking the money, the warranty ( IT s good to let cash because otherwise they forgot to give it back without written motive) and then they tell You to walk till the 16.00 to be able to enter in the rook...by the way, breakfast doesn t include a simple espresso...cheap way of thinking

Sehr schöne Insel, Altstadt gut zu Fuß zu erkunden ????????????☀️Sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, im gesamten Hotel leider sehr wenig deutschsprachiges Personal ????
