Huge launch, can handle 3 lanes. On big weekends can deal with crowds. Large parking!

It's nice, but the cost of parking is a joke. $16 a day for any vehicle, and you must bring exact change. Definitely needs a modern update to pay those prices.

The lake was almost completely full, the water was clear and warm. All 10 of us had a wonderful houseboat experience! Can't wait to go back.

I booked a boat in October 2022 for September 2023. I became pregnant shortly after and notified the company in January of 2023. They originally told me that I could change the reservation for an additional $500. Before changing the date, I had complications with my pregnancy. without notifying me, the company ended their relationship with Airbnb in May 2023. It was not until I was charged the entirety of my payment in June ‘23 that they reached out to ask if I still wanted to change the reservation. I had a complicated pregnancy & ended up having a c-section, so I was grateful the had reached out to reschedule. After they contacted me, they notified me that they ACTUALLY would not allow me to reschedule because they had ended their relationship with Airbnb and I quote “the system won’t let them”. I begged for them to work with me, as I am not in a position to travel from my home state of Texas to California so close to having a c section. I had notified them so far in advanced and they made NO attempt to contact me before ending their relationship with Airbnb.
For a local place, they abused the Airbnb “policies” to take almost $4,000 from me. They even told me that if I contacted Airbnb they would say what they needed to say to get my money back since I had contacted them 8 months in advance. I did that. When Airbnb called they said they would not give me any refund. The owner refused to speak to me directly, and at one point I was told the owner was conferenced into the phone call but still wouldn’t speak directly to me.
Overall, god forbid you get into a complication with this place. Also, they never contacted me after ending their relationship with Airbnb which I see as a huge manipulation of business, especially knowing I had contacted them already (hence why they reached out in June). I’m 7 weeks postpartum, recovering from a major surgery after having tried to work with the business almost a year in advance to change things. I have now completely lost almost $4,000 and they likely will resell the weekend and make even more money. I’m devastated.

It’s a soulless cash grab. They ended their relationship with airbnb without notifying my pregnant wife who tried her best to simply change the date of her party and they are now informing her that she can’t change the dates unless she pays an additional 500 and they won’t let her cancel. Their miscommunication is costing us 4000 and they will not take responsibility. I’d give 0 stars if possible

Excellent Marina with tons of parking, restrooms and trash receptacles. As of today - typical usage fee is $16/day.

Great friendly convenience

I rented a Summerset Houseboat in September 2022. On the last day there was an issue that ended up being a misunderstanding regarding when the boat should be returned. Having a hard time resolving with office staff, John and Anna, the owners, contacted me directly and helped me resolve the misunderstanding and resolve the concern. As a resident in the area, it is widely known that Shasta Marina provides the best service and rents the nicest boats on Shasta Lake. Thank you for another great year!

Top notch, quality service for me and my houseboat party. Boat was awesome. Very responsive to phone calls and emails.

We have had a houseboat moored at this location for the past few years. The location is great. We come from the North making this a convenient location not far from the freeway. They constructed a makeshift boat launch due to the low water levels. The staff are wonderful! They actively seek out opportunities to be helpful. I have had a few instances where I needed either mechanical assistance or a tow. They jump in to help with zero complaints. I appreciate their attitude and eagerness in making your time on the lake enjoyable despite challenges. This marina just has a family atmosphere vibe. The other moorage occupants are friendly creating a “visiting family” experience. Walking the docks takes time because you are always stopping to engage in conversation. This marina is also very well stocked; a small market, fuel, pump out, etc. Shasta Marina at Packers is the best!

We had our kids and grandkids on a Sumerset houseboat for a week! The boat was clean, beautiful and huge!!! Soooo worth the money! Great vacation and great memories made! Christy and Dede in the office were so nice and very helpful! We’ll be back!
