This is a nice Italian restaurant! It's on the pricier side for me so I'd only go for a special occasion, but I believe everything on the menu will be delicious and well worth it! I got the butternut squash ravioli after enjoying it so much last time. The cocktails and desserts are also very good!

Beautiful food in a beautiful setting. The restaurant itself is quite large and includes a separate bar area as well as open kitchen bar seating, which could be really fun! We sat in the main dining hall and the booth bench seat as well as the dining chairs were extremely comfortable. Wonderful service.

The service was subpar, and my boyfriend and I found ourselves continuously underwhelmed by the unprofessionalism exhibited by the staff. Upon arrival, the hostess was sat and appeared to be coloring. After being brought to our table, we were dismayed to notice dirty dishes and broken windows behind us. We chose to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, as I have previously come and loved it and I thought I’d show my partner from out of town a local staple that I loved. We ordered the burrata as a starter, which was good enough, but then were incredibly dissatisfied with our entrees. My guest opted for the lasagna and was displeased with the blandness of the sauce and low quality of the cheese, especially coming from and Italian background. I opted for the braised quail ragú and was started by the underwhelming oration size and poor plating. At a fine dining restaurant , such as this, one would expect their food to be at least centered and their plate wiped of grease. After beginning to eat my meal, I was shocked to find a pair of quail bones which I had mistaken as the braised quail and put in my mouth. These bones were a clear choking hazard and after bringing it up to our server, she said she would have to ask the kitchen about whether or not it was meant to be there. In my eyes, this was not a question that had to have been asked. Thankfully, the management was kind enough to remedy the solution, though after this experience, it is safe to say I shall not be returning. I am saddened to see a local business I once believed to be great going down in their standards.

This is a top-notch restaurant located just outside downtown Half Moon Bay. The company took an old artichoke harvesting facility, gutted it and made a wonderful place to enjoy. They have outside garden seating, inside the main dining room is beautiful, a separate bar area to watch the games, and a separate wine room which also doubles as a dinner, event space. The only knock on service is it's sometimes slow. At a place like this, I don't want to be rushed but also don't want to wait for 30 minutes after we are done to get the check. Highly recommended for a special dinner out or to impress someone who has never been there before.

I love Pasta Moon, so delicious, and amazing atmosphere on the coast. Cioppino, Puttanesca, even the Butternut Squash Ravioli is incredible. Great dessert and fresh coffee too - which is important to me.

This was a very nice restaurant... nice and expensive to be exact... We are talking Italian food here friends.... pasta... as in the name "Pasta Moon"... I'm an Italian-American, so this isn't my first rodeo, but to say this meal was over priced would be an understatement.

We’ve been coming to Pasta Moon for a while and it use to be so much better. It was a busy Saturday night so the service was very slow. But our table somehow was served even slower than around. Our water glasses were never refilled and they did not refill our wine glasses besides the initial pour. The food was a solid “B”.

Food and ambience were really good. However, it took 1.5 hours for our food to be served. Not much explanation, other than they were busy. We purposely made an early dinner reservation (at 530pm) so the kids could go home early to sleep. However, we ended up leaving at 830pm, past their bedtimes. The saving grace was that at least the kids’ food came out first.

Not much to say other than it’s ALWAYS a good meal here. They have quite an extensive list of wines as well, but if you decide to bring one yourself, corkage is $35, which is a little steep compared to most places I dine at. They also have a full bar with some yummy cocktails.

Parking is easy; there is a stand-alone lot. Restaurant is HUGE with indoor and outdoor dining, but it gets busy, so reservations (via OpenTable) are highly recommended.

Staff is friendly and service is always great. This restaurant is fitting for couples, families, and small or large groups.

Definitely the best restaurant in town!

Food is great. Shrimp pizza was simply amazing .. Light n thin crust. Salmon dish was nice surprise .. I thought it would be grill but it was used in gravy. A bit of too much ocean after few bites. Coattails was superb. Had tiramasu .. not too sweet would recommend. In all good place for relax lunch. Decor is okish nothing fancy.

Get the cheesecake and tiramisu for dessert. You won’t regret it. For apps, get the mussels and the calamari, both were outstanding. The papardelle pancetta pasta was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. Absolutely a must order. The noodles were a standout. We came upon this restaurant randomly and it turned out to be some of the best Italian food we’ve had in the Bay Area. 100% will return.

Fantastic dinner here, we started with the bruschetta (do not skip this) sadly we eat it before we snapped a pic but it was so delicious. Followed by apple salad and then. Brown butter ravioli. Will definitely come again when I’m HMB!
