Really outstanding deli with great sandwiches. They have a solid every day menu and the rotating specials are quite good. Nice to be able to grab dry goods for dinner as well.

Visting Oakland downtown area recently.I hadn't been in approx 5 yrs. I was delighted to see Ratto's full with a lunchtime crowd. Ratto's is known for their delicious made to order gourmet sandwiches. I stopped in and ordered a tuna sandwich, which proved to be absolutely scrumptious. I can't wait to have a chance to visit again... Ratto's is my very favorite sandwich deli shop!

Ratto's..... I freaking love you!! Sandwiches are always well made, accurate, fast and awesome ingredients! You don't go light on the pesto. The bread is awesome! We use Ratto's all the time for company lunches and never had a sandwich made incorrectly.

RATTOS has been a local lunch stable for many many meals .the sandwiches never disappointed me .And they full you up at a fair price. They have a list of special sandys or you can create you're own .for vegan they have a great hummus cucumber sandwich and the fixing, they also have field roast slices if u wanna make your own vegan sammich ..ok well enjoy .glad ratos is still around !

Recently renovated this centerpiece of Old Oakland is truly a stalwart of great sandwiches, friendly staff as well a chill atmosphere inside. There's seating outside for those still a bit squeamish of that indoors. While the city will soon remove the seating on the street, there's plenty of room inside as well there's always to go.
BTW , it's still a family operation, a century's worth of good food , provisions in a welcoming atmosphere.

Got the classic Italian sub. It's most likely the blandest and most boring sandwich I've ever had. There was no flavor at all.

They make the best tasting sandwiches! My go to is their ratatouille sandwich (I’m vegetarian)????. The staff is super friendly, quick and there is an assortment of ingredients to browse while you wait or sit outside in their patio! This has become my go to lunch spot and quick grocery store in a pinch (or if I am trying to be fancy and make a charcuterie board). Definitely worth the price, it’s a staple in the community!

This is my go-to sandwich shop in Oakland!

In the picture: Baguette bread, turkey, ham,salami,provolone,pesto, bacon, lettuce,tomato. Custom sandwich.

Get a salad too, they're awesome!
