I’ve stayed at a few Graduate Hotels at many campuses; Graduate Berkeley is by far a quality spot! Service is great! Room is equipped. Space is clean! There’s a coffee shot right next to the hotel (super convenient).

Didn't stay. Saw the room. Is what it's supposed to be. Did not take advantage of any amenities. I did notice There was no bathroom vent fan, and separate toilet and shower "rooms" adjacent to each other.

Seemed that in certain circumstances, it could become a humid stinkbox. Didn't check if the window opened. South facing window, of city walls and roofs.

There's a Stanford U logo in the urinal for Berkeley Alums to piss on. Basically a microcosm of the greater area vibe.

i was about to book a room when i checked for hidden charges and...oh yeah--(hidden) amenity fee $25/day for in-room coffee, internet and bike rental...use to be called "resort fee" but it got a bad repudiation so it's been repurposed as amenity fee. lost my business-- i am going to the Shattuck Plaza!

I have stayed here on multiple occasions and with multiple people, for a total of about just under one month at this hotel.

- no pool, no laundry, no microwaves
- air conditioning/heater is good
- fridges in rooms are tiny
- parking EXTREMELY limited and brings additional costs (parking is also often closed for special events)
- TV’s dont have streaming services nor can they do remote play
- staff are very nice. sometimes they will microwave your food, fill up your water bottle, or give you utensils/cutlery, but it depends on who is out on rotation.
- no complimentary/in-hotel breakfast. the only hotel restaurant is Henry’s, which is not very good
- has a gym
- very close to campus if you want to commute there

You dont stay in this hotel for vacation or luxury. You stay because you have no other option.

Great location and friendly staff, but this hotel is a dump. Have the expectation of a one or two star hotel at best and you’ll be fine.
Very rundown and there is a stale odour that permeates the hotel as mentioned in other reviews.
Stayed in room 419. The floor was dirty, the window would not close, and the door seemed as if had been recently kicked in.
Multiple cigarette? burns on the desk and the bathroom shower temperature was uncontrollable.

If this represents a 4 star hotel in this area then I can’t imagine what any others are like. Tiny and not great room. No sink in the bathroom. Need to have security let you out and walk you to the car because the crime is that bad. Car got smashed and grabbed just down the street. Not sure who would let their kids go to school in an area like this. Ridiculous.

I have spent countless nights at this hotel. The location is perfect. Walking distance to UCB and many restaurants. A parking garage near by as well. The hotel is converted by an old building that has no insulation between floors and maybe not inside the walls as well. I can hear my neighbors’ phone conversations word by word. And occasionally snoring as well.
