The Bijou is a cute little hotel close within walking distance of some attractions and public transit. Rooms are clean and comfortable. No AC in the building but a box fan was provided. This proved to be handy because it helped drown out some of the noise from the street below. People were shouting and playing music at all hours of the night, so if you're looking for a hotel in a quiet part of town, this is not it.

We stayed for 4 nights but it was great!! Even though we contacted them around 10 pm asking for more soap, they delivered it to us by 11:30 pm. And the people at the lobby were so nice and helpful with directions as well. They had a cute restaurant as well but be aware that they DON’T OFFER BREAKFAST as of now.

I had a terrible experience in San Fransico hotel bijou.
I can’t sleep whole night at all.
Seems like I was tried sleeop on middle of street.
From 11pm to 2:30am start to extremely loud music from potable speakers it is extremely loud music, honk of car ,men’s shouting and women’s screaming also.
And the music started 3am again.
But this hotel doesn’t have sufficient sound insulation or any solution.We ask to manager to help us.
It was our business trip.
We were very tired because droves 7hours and have to work tomorrow.
But she only gave little rubber ear plugs.
She said because it is weekend that is the reason of noise.
Also, I watched outside whole night,this area is not safe at all.
It is kind of dangerous area.
I hope nobody has this horrible and scary experience.

Room was decent, service was good, hotel people are friendly, approachable and willing to help. The hotel is very safe. The hotel is close to many of the landmark places. But the location itself is really shady. It's very noisy outside the entire time. Ambulance and police car honking is audible throughout the night at every 10 minutes interval. Nearest BART station Powell felt extremely unsafe. In fact the streets and the location feels unsafe just after the sunset. Google about the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, and get an idea of the locality.
