It was a great pleasure to stay in the heart of San Fran. The best customer service ever we got from lovely Kinga !!! Thank you for all the advice and warm welcome !
Cute boutique hotel in bustling downtown San Francisco. King room is nicely decorated, clean and spacious. A plus is how quiet it was from the city noise. Opt to open windows for fresh air on a breezy day. Walking distance to anything you can need or want. Uber is easy and quick for sight seeing and restaurant going. For safety reasons parking at the hotel is best. Night time walking can get very sketchy. You will want an Adagio stay for ultimate comfort and relaxation.
Have stayed here twice now, and both times have been excellent. The service is wonderful. Jack & Tuan do a great job at the door welcoming guests and making sure everyone gets a glass of bubbly every evening. Sasha was also great, and printed off multiple copies of items I needed for a work meeting. I will definitely be back to Hotel Adagio!
This is my go to for SF visits. It's always cheaper than most other hotels in it's class. Rooms are nicely done. Great views from most rooms. The bar is decent.
SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO TUAN THE BELLMAN, AND ALL THREE MEN (AND A WOMAN) AT THE FRONT DESK! THEY ALL DID THEIR BEST TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY AND ACCOMMODATED!
YOU CAN TELL TUAN AND THE VALET (I believe from El Salvador), ON THE NIGHT SHIFT OF MARCH 15th, TRULY LOVE TO SERVE FROM THEIR HEARTS! And the WOMAN TENDING THE BAR FROM POLAND!!!! I’M SO SORRY I DIDN’T CATCH YOUR NAME! YOU WERE SOOO FRIENDLY AND HAD REALLY GOOD TASTE IN FOOD! SHE WAS SOOOO GENUINELY CARING! THE YOUNG WOMAN WAITRESS AT ELLIOTT’S ON MARCH 16th (sorry IDK your name but she wears glasses), SHE WAS SUPER NICE TO ME JUST A SWEET SPIRIT! I HAVE TO SAY EVERYONE WAS EXCEPTIONALLY NICE AND HAD GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND I KNOW GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
THIS HOTEL ALSO RECOGNIZES AND ACKNOWLEDGES YOUR MARRIOTT REWARDS STATUS, AND THEY HAVE SUPER GOOD PERKS LIKE CREDITS FOR BREAKFAST OR MARRIOTT POINTS JUST TO SAY ‘WELCOME’ & ‘THANK YOU’! (Cookies and champagne ????).
The staff never treated me poorly or looked down on me…???? I’m so grateful and would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting SF. ????!
I stayed at Hotel Adagio for the second time Today! I also stayed here back in December 2023. It was a beautiful hotel with all the Christmas decorations and holiday cheer. There were no homeless people to step over as I had read about in other reviews. To be fair, in Dec 2023 the city had just rid the streets of all the homeless secondary to the state of arrival of the Chinese president.
This second time, around 3 months later, there STILL were no homeless people in site (may The Lord Bless them and keep them safe).
I felt completely safe walking around outside to get in Lyfts or find the valet. (Single female here).
This was a staycation for me, however, when I am out of town I like resorts or hotels that have a luxurious feel, or close to that anyway.
This Hotel, while it isn’t a resort, is more than sufficient. They keep the inside looking well kept and clean. It doesn’t feel like, let’s say, you’re staying at a “Residence Inn” (NO SHADE TO RESIDENCE IN, THERE’s a time for that type of hotel). I needed a break from kids, and to relax. I also booked a massage at Burke Williams which is only 5 mins away via Lyft. If you need R&R, I highly recommend this hotel and that spa!
Thank you again Hotel Adagio, I can’t wait to visit you all again! May The Lord Jesus bless you all abundantly for your service!

Great location, surprisingly affordable for an Autograph in downtown San Fran. Not many amenities as it's a small boutique hotel but if you're looking for a bar or restaurant nearby you have your pick of the litter. Very friendly staff. What amounts to a $25 resort fee actually includes drinks or breakfast and a couple of other little perks.
The hotel is conveniently located to many sites and ~15m ride share away from The Pier and other popular places. The rooms are very clean. (The carpet and doors give you a vintage feel). The customer service is impeccable!!! It's rare we eat and drink at the hotel bar but stopped for a daily night cap at Mortimer's. Raecyne, Roberto, and Kinga are full of personality and caused us to enjoy each night. The hotel is reasonably priced (walking distance from Macy's, Louie V, etc).
Lobby, restaurant, and bar were all fantastic and the customer service was incredible. Rooms were old and in dire need of renovations, but the beds were comfortable and seemed to be new. The location was also a bit odd being just outside of the tenderloin, not great for being out and about after dark.
My family and I stayed here the week of Christmas, and we loved it! Our room was nice, and cleaned everyday. They are a pet-friendly hotel, so we were able to bring our dog with us. My husband and I took full advantage of the free champagne in the lobby ???? This hotel is right downtown in the Tenderloin neighborhood, so it was very close to everything. We rented a car and parked in the nearby garage for about $50 a night. It was also easy to pick up an Uber in front of the hotel when we needed to. The staff here are all great! The doorman, the hostesses, the cleaning staff, the bartender. All great! Everyone treated us very kindly. We would absolutely stay here again!
Time slowed at Hotel Adagio, in the best way possible. Clean rooms, fresh air, and an "anywhere in the world" vibe set the stage for a restful stay. Fast check-in was a bonus, leaving everything else to unfold gracefully. #TimelessLuxury #SlowTravel
Came into this place on New Year's Eve hoping to stay here and got there on New Year's Eve and there was no parking at all anywhere in the city had to go home would never ever rent a room from this place again!
Nice Marriott property located a couple of blocks off Union Square. Furthermore, it has a few pubs in the right opposite the hotel, so weekend music can be a bit loud.
The rooms in the property are of decent size and clean. I missed a hot water kettle in the room. (although one can always go to the ground floor and pick up tea or coffee which is kept for guests)
The food of the property is also very good.
I would recommend this place for business travellers.
We stayed here for three days and really enjoyed the experience. It's a beautiful place with not large but nice rooms and good restaurants & room service etc. Next time visiting SF I'll consider staying here again.
