All’arrivo abbiamo suonato il campanello ma nessuno ci ha aperto; a quel punto abbiamo telefonato all’hotel ma nessuno ci ha risposto. A quel punto siamo rimasti ad aspettare con le valigie sul marciapiede ed infine abbiamo approfittato di altri ospiti che uscivano per riuscire ad entrare. Così abbiamo scoperto che l’hotel non ha l’ascensore e le scale sono molto ripide. Arrivati al primo piano, dove si trova la reception, c’era una donna di una certa età a farci il check-in che ha detto di non avete sentito. Al terzo piano, dove si trovava la nostra stanza, c’era un cattivissimo odore nel corridoio come di mensa (anche se l’hotel non offre alcun servizio cucina) che filtrava sotto la porta ed entrava fino in camera. Veramente spiacevole. Il secondo giorno la nostra camera non è stata pulita, il primo giorno si. Quando abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni hanno dato la colpa a noi dicendo che dovevamo mettere un biglietto alla porta, cosa che non avevano fatto il giorno precedente quando la camera ci era stata pulita e cosa della quale comunque nessuno ci aveva informato al momento check-in. Infine, la nostra camera aveva la serratura difettosa e l’ultima sera non riuscivamo ad entrare. Considerato tutto ciò, ritengo che non ci sia affatto un buon rapporto qualità prezzo, non ci tornerei e non lo consiglierei, anche se la posizione è buona.

Stayed here for a conference. This hotel came up in the exact area I wanted to be and the price/location were both good. This hotel is not what you want, if luxury accommodations are what you need. This hotel is more like a great place for single travel when you want a quiet and convenient location. While staying here I never saw or heard but maybe one other guest, even though the hotel was fully booked. If you stay in the front of the building, you will hear some street noise and night life but honestly I like that so it was welcoming background noise while asleep.

Nice authentic Hotel, we loved our stay. Service was good, every thing clean. It's an older building in the City. the rooms at the front are brighter but louder. there are smaller and more spacious rooms. you feel a bit transported back in time. Breakfast opposite at El Greco is recommended. also very authentic.

Fantastic accommodations. Perfect location to walk to the best restaurants and food of North Beach. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Comfortable rooms. This hotel is the perfect way to explore San Francisco.

Das Zimmer war viel zu klein. Es hat gestunken und war sehr hellhörig. Außerdem hatten wir in der letzten Nacht eine Maus im Bad die unter der Tür in unser Zimmer geflüchtet ist. Igitt!!!
