R&G LOUNGE

We had a wonderful dinner at the R&G! The duck was fantastic but the lobster with sticky rice is not to be missed. It is rich, so order with a crowd to finish it. The atmosphere was lovely and the waiter friendly and guided our menu selections so well! My new favorite in Chinatown!

I booked the large private room for my birthday dinner for 19 persons and it was the best decision!!

The large private room is HUGE (photo attached) it has two large, round tables and looked like it can fit up to 30 guests. R&G has another private room, slightly smaller, which can fit up to 16 guests. The large private room has a food and beverage minimum, which was very easy to hit after ordering 2 ten person banquet menu sets. They also require a small deposit to reserve the date.

I am so glad I made the private room reservation a month in advance, because when I arrived at R&G on Saturday night..it was BUSY. The normal wait for a table was over an hour! The reservation was easy to make - I emailed R&G about my party request and they were informative, accommodating, and very responsive.

My entire group ate Banquet Menu B, which was delicious! The Chilean Sea Bass was hands down my favorite dish, probably the best Sea Bass I’ve ever had. The cook on that huge chunk of fish was so amazing and the caramelization on the side was so good.

I love that R&G allows cake and doesn’t charge a cake cutting fee. They put my cake into the fridge and even put a candle on top (I forgot to bring my own candles!) Afterwards, they sliced and served the cake on small plates. The service was great and attentive. The food took 15min to get ready in the beginning, but we’re coming out quick afterwards.

We ordered one of the baijou for our group which was served in cute little shot glasses. Next time I want to try their cocktails menu!
My birthday here was amazing and I’m so glad I booked R&G!

Very busy on a Saturday night be prepared to wait for long hours but the rest of the week we went it was alright so no wait. Food was delicious. Theit fried tofu, Peking duck, salted crab - fried rice was great! Specialty beef was just okay for me though but the rest tasted great. Service was good!
