The back garden hostess was incredibly rude to everyone she spoke to. We decided to pass on the whole experience. Terrible way to start.

Today was quite interesting. There are about 12 tables open but there was supposedly a 45-minute wait. Luckily we only had to wait 15 minutes but I did notice there were several tables open on the yard area and inside on the lower area. I think this restaurant may be having staffing issues today, so I've been here before and have not seen it like this. My guess is that the pandemic has affected many restaurants in San Francisco. Regards staffing but with all that the food was very delicious and tasty. So I will return once again

Decided to go for brunch at the Beach Chalet for my bday. Ocean views and food are not easy to find so we were pleased when we were seated right by the windows on the 2nd floor. Service was a little slow. My husband asked for sugar for his coffee and was just given sweeteners, he had to get up from the table to find brown sugar as we could not get anyone’s attention.
My strawberry rose Bellini did not arrive until well after our food and was not actually the right drink. I’d clearly been given the peach Bellini ( it was orange!) but the waiter insisted it was correct and that it also had peach added ?! I was a little surprised by the reaction and accepted the drink. I should have insisted it was re made.
But other than that the food was delicious and the views amazing.
Not sure we’d go back but I’m glad we tried it.

The outdoor restaurant is superb. Great food, service, and location. Not inexpensive but worth every penny.
