If you’re planning to fly in early in the morning and do an early check-in, don’t because they won’t honor the early check-in. You’ll be tired as hell when your room isn’t ready until afternoon. This is supposed to be a top hotel, not in my book. I don’t like that they didn’t honor early check-in, and the excuse is it was booked full the night before house-keeping doesn’t start until 9:30am. What kind of operation is this? The lady at the front desk was rude when trying to check the status. The one bright spot was service in the restaurant was very good.

We traveled to New Orleans for a conference last week and stayed at the Hilton Inn Riverside. The Hotel rooms are old and in need of updating. The room we stayed in had a bad flow in and out of the room. The TV was old and we ended up going elsewhere to watch the NCAA basketball games. I couldn't believe how quickly the elevator doors close - if someone is walking in the door doesn't stop but continues to try and close - the same thing happened with luggage. The housecleaning was dependable and hot water for showers was good. The rooms weren't worth what the hotel charges.

This is one of the nicest hotels I stayed in. The lobby is huge and has the Dragos Restaurant inside of it as well as a Starbucks. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and the location is great. The views from my room of the Mississippi River. The trolly is also nearby. And the hotel is clean and pretty affordable for the amenities.

By far, the most hard working and diligent staff of any hotel I’ve stayed at, anywhere. Rooms are decent, beds are comfy, they clean everyday, staff is very thoughtful and helpful with normal issues.
Occasional noises from trains would occasionally wake me up but I fell back asleep easily.

- Train noise right down the street, but it’s not that big of an issue if you treat it as an occasional white noise
- insulation from other rooms is good
- the most diligent maid service
