NINE O FIVE ROYAL HOTEL

Great location to Bourbon Street. No frills historic hotel. No amenities, fridge, ice, or microwave. Just a decent place to lay your head down. Priced reasonably for what it is.

I am here now, the hotel is open and functioning, though yes it does appear to be for sale. If you're looking for a newer, luxury hotel stay this place is not for you. However, if you come to New Orleans to experience the history and culture, this place is PERFECT. It's full of character and charm. Our room has a kitchenette and access to an adorable court yard. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything the French Quarter has to offer. If you need a break from walking, you can sit and people watch from the front porch and are guaranteed to hear plenty of great music from right here. Check in was a breeze, management is very responsive with concerns. Someone is on the property if you were to need help and he is very kind. The only thing I could think of to complain about is there no wifi, but the service is fine here so even that hasn't been a real issue for me. Though this place may not be for some people it's the exact experience I was hoping for, 10 out of 10 would recommend.
