The restaurant is open when others aren't (about 5:30PM was when we stopped there) and located at the top of the main walk towards the Piazza Duomo, so convenient and so far so good. Unfortunately, the food is overpriced, bland (friend's dish) or awful (mine). Worse, it's dirty - the silver ware looked smudged and the beer glass looked like it had never been washed. The restaurant business sign is in English ("grandma's recipes", "typical food & drink") - clues this might be a tourist trap - and we got snagged. Do yourself a favor and get closer to the Piazza Duomo and wait till 7PM for the good restaurants to open and stay away from this spot.

Last night we had the sheer luck of finding the best restaurant in Sicily! We stumbled upon Giuseppe and Mimma’s restaurant through a Google search, and we’re so happy we did. Not only is the food, absolutely outstanding, but the service and the beauty of the owners is something to behold! You will not be sorry. Seriously, the best dinner we’ve eaten in Italy!
