If the steep, curling, slope to Kapchorwa didn't take your breath away, Home of Friends will for sure. The venue is beautifully located on a mountain ridge and guarantees a true moment of ease after a long hike through the stunning countryside (we highly recommend the rough but rewarding Benet trail in that matter). Huge thumbs up to Elisa for the warm welcome and endless smiles :)

Home of Friends was definitely one of our highlights in Uganda.

Though the road to the location isn’t the best the service and staff go over and above to make your stay comfortable. I loved the food and the rooms are cozy enough. Don’t miss the sunrise view!!

Tijdens onze rondreis door Uganda logeerden we ook 2 nachten bij Home of Friends, als uitgangspunt om Sipi Falls te ontdekken rond Mount Elgon. Bij het ontvangst door Daan en Eliza - in de prachtige tuin - voelden we ons direct zeer welkom en thuis. We verbleven in een ruime schone twinbedded kamer met een zeer ruime douche. Warm water bleek altijd beschikbaar. Toch wel erg heerlijk. 's Avonds was er entertainment: kampvuurverhalen verteld door de Sebei Cultural-groep. Vanuit Home of Friends worden vele excursies georganiseerd. Zo liepen wij de Kapchorwa-natuurwandeling naar de prachtige Kaptokwoi-waterval en naar de Sipi Fall III. De omgeving kent meerdere prachtige watervallen en grotten.
Onze reisgenoten kozen voor koken met de 'Mama's', wat ook erg goed bleek. Kortom met Daan en Eliza tref je een fantastische gastheer en -vrouw, die het verblijf in Kapchorwa tot een onvergetelijke tijd maken. En dan heb ik nog niets gezegd over de smaakvolle gerechten zij zelf serveren voor ontbijt, lunch en/of avondeten.

During our tour of Uganda we also stayed 2 nights at Home of Friends, as a starting point to explore Sipi Falls around Mount Elgon. Upon being welcomed by Daan and Eliza - in the beautiful garden - we immediately felt very welcome and at home. We stayed in a spacious clean twinbedded room with a very spacious shower. Hot water was always available. Still very lovely. In the evening there was entertainment: campfire stories told by the Sebei Cultural group. Many excursions are organized from Home of Friends. For example, we walked the Kapchorwa nature walk to the beautiful Kaptokwoi waterfall and to the Sipi Fall III. The area has several beautiful waterfalls and caves.
Our travel companions opted for cooking with the 'Mamas', which also turned out very well. In short, Daan and Eliza are fantastic hosts who make your stay in Kapchorwa an unforgettable time. And I haven't said anything about the tasteful dishes they serve for breakfast, lunch and / or dinner.

Homes of Friends has a serene environment with the mountain Elgon ranges gracing it's background few kilometres out of Kapchorwa town. It's an ideal location that I could recommend anyone to visit

I had my best experience at Home of Friends, starting with campfire storytelling, drama with the Sebei Cultural group, the run, Mosopisiek village tour, farm experience, visit to mukuuso cave and Mangos water fall, Kapchorwa nature walk with magnificent Kaptokwoi water fall.

Stay at Home of Friends for your tour in Kapchorwa and Kween, it's the best place to be..great food, good and interactive staff and clean rooms.

It's are coolest

Nice and peaceful place in the mountains with lots of possibilities to do outdoor sports. Thanks Eliza for getting up at 5am in the morning to make an espresso ????

It’s in a nice setting, in a town that has very little in terms of decent accommodation and eating places. But I feel like they can do better with their service and menu range. Also, the owner comes off rude and condescending to some clients, myself included.

Beautiful scenery and location, calm and serene nature around the houses. Magnificent night sky as well!

We stayed here after hiking Mount Elgon and it was incredibly comfortable stay after 5 nights in the mountains, with very nice food.

The food is amazing plus the Ambience is also to die for...

We had great experience at Kapchorwa. Room was clean and housekeeper super friendly. Owner organized us unforgettable tour to Sipi falls. Breakfast was great. Prices at restaurant could be closer to local. Wifi was challenging.

Garden is beautiful, good food (fast service in the restaurant), bathroom is small but hot showers, lovely people, good mattress.

They have put us in contact with a very good guide for the sipi falls trek (Juma from Elgon treks).

We would have loved to stay longer to do some other walks...

Nice place to visit in Kapchorwa Sebei

1room, double bed. if you want to use with your girlfriend It's 200000UGX. But if you want to use alone, It's 150000UGX. All rooms are clean and quality is also good. they have cafeteria and food. Food is good.

We had a great stay at Home of Friends. We extended it after the first night, just to have a bit more time. It's a short drive to Sipi Falls and there are a lot of other things to see and do around Kapchorwa. We did the nature walk, which was hosted by Rhomie, a trained guide, and it was great. A lot of information about Kapchorwa and great views.
