This sprawling hotel is a bit past its prime but has a nice view of the Nile from the room I had which included a balcony with a swing which was pretty novel. Air conditioning, refrigerator, and coffee kettle upon request. Service staff went over and above to accommodate.

Cheap, clean, very friendly and competent service. If I have one very small complaint then about the breakfast, sometimes just warm instead of hot and not a great choice of what to eat. The few times we ordered a evening meal it was always very good, and the room service very friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in jinja

It’s a very quiet place with great view of the Nile river and the magnificent Nile bridge
The reception is excellent and the check in process is swift but captures all the information necessary to ensure a safe stay
The rooms are very spacious with working TVs providing a variety of channels for your entertainment
And the intercom works, haha

An old hotel that we used to enjoy. Used to have very nice meals and well cooked fish. It seems over timev the good chefs left or were transferred to the catering business. The waiters are always extremely polite and helpful. The breakfasts are fair. Unfortunately despite being good customers over the years on the two recent occasions we stayed we were given horrible rooms. Broken bathroom fixtures, beds that didn't seem clean. Poor service at reception desk when we complained. We actually left even though we had paid and booked another hotel. I would say Sunset's sister hotel (Paradise) is a better bet although it too has some shabby rooms. Or maybe we keep being given the worst rooms? Both hotels could do with renovation of rooms and bathrooms

Location:
The location of the hotel is very good. At the bay of the Nile.

Rooms:
Rooms are just okay. Not very nice I will say. The bathroom is also old. No lift. A 3 floor building though. The Internet is almost not workable in the room.

Breakfast:
Breakfast is also ok. Not much alternative. But manageable. Bread, butter, coffee, fried/ boiled eggs, fruits and a few chicken items available with orange juice.

Best experience:
Wow love the view. Sunset from the balcony must please the eyes. Everybody will enjoy the beauty of the Nile, narrow gauge rail lines beside the river, the bridge, and fishing boats in the river everything from the balcony.

Worst experience:
The internet connection. Specifically for foreigners it is the worst problem. Can't work in the room. Have to go to the reception area.

It is an old, quaint hotel that feels like it is trapped in a time warp. It is charming, clean and well kept. The servers were also very polite and helpful. It did bring back memories of my childhood. ????

It was pretty interesting most probably because I was attending a party but the area is not so close to the river bank which would have been better for me.Generally the area is calm with very limited inconvenience.organisation is pretty good.
